A Sneak Peek at Our Engagement Photos!

It’s so hard to believe that we’ve been engaged now for almost three months! Time is flying, and wedding decisions are being made promptly (big shout out to COVID for making every recently-engaged-2021 couple have to make very quick decisions or wait two years!). My dress appointment has come and gone (there’s a blog post coming so soon on my experience and whether I said yes or not!), our venues are booked, photographer has been secured and our florals are paid for. It seems like next thing I know, it’ll be our wedding day!

But, before I get too far ahead of myself here, let’s talk about what you’re all here for — our engagement photos! My best friend/maid of honour is also a professional photographer, and if you’re an avid reader of the blog or follow me on Instagram, you’ve definitely seen her work before. Of course, there’s no one I would rather do our engagement photos than her, so let’s jump into the sneak peek of our photos below!

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Emily photoshoot if it wasn’t in the fall and surrounded by pumpkins! Luckily I’ve been blessed with a fiancé who knows how much I care about these trivial things, and let me take the reins on where we’d go for our photos, and we obviously had to include Freddie too! We headed to a pumpkin patch on a Wednesday, so it wasn’t too busy, and did our thing.

It may be a bit hard to believe, but we got all of these shots done in about 25-30 minutes. We had to make it quick since we were on a business’ property, things were starting to get a little busy, and of course, Freddie wouldn’t stop barking! I think it was safe to say he was very confused as to why his grandma was holding onto him while mom & dad posed for the camera for a bit.

My fiancé and I are both definitely weirdos in front of the camera (we’re both creatives who generally prefer to be behind the camera), but I’m thrilled with how these photos came out! I’m so thrilled with how cute these turned out, and we truly couldn’t have imagined our engagement shoot without Freddie being apart of it. Also, huge shoutout to my bestie, Brianna from BD Imaging — check out her work & shop her Etsy (use code EMILY10 for 10% on your order)!
