We Got Engaged!
Well, the title of this blog says it all — my partner and I are engaged! After nearly 10 years together, my partner and I are now planning our wedding! I can’t even believe that I’m writing this — it almost doesn’t even feel real (though I’m sure everyone when they get engaged says this too). So, let’s get into it - let me tell you all about my fiancé (still can’t believe I get to call him that now), and everything that went down when he proposed!
How He Proposed
While we were enjoying our cottage weekend, I was sitting on the dock, scrolling through my phone, taking photos and videos of my dog splashing around in the lake. When I took a moment to start editing the photos, I heard “babe”, and of course, me being me, I wasn’t really paying attention and all I did was say “yeah?” and keep looking at my phone. When he didn’t answer me, I turned around, and there he was, with the ring box open and that’s when he asked me to marry him. Honestly, I was so shocked, my first response was “wait, are you serious?!” and the response I got was “well, the ring is right here so yeah, I’m serious!” – very typical me response, if I do say so myself, haha. I then proceeded to almost knock the ring into the lake (another on-brand move for me) when I went in for a hug and to of course, say YES!
To say that we’re both so excited for this is an understatement, and we’ve already started thinking up ideas, and even booking a couple of appointments to get the ball rolling. I can’t wait to share more content about the wedding with you all, but I’m especially excited to share what gifts I am giving to my bridesmaids when I ask them to be apart of our special day! All of that will be coming sooner than you think!
