Creating My Dream Bedroom

Hello again everyone, and welcome back to my happy little corner of the internet! Continuing on with my “creating my dream” series, today, as you can see, I’ll be showing you what my dream bedroom would look like. As always, this is if there was no budget to keep in mind, so there’s some ridiculously expensive stuff in here (cough, the $10,000 bed frame), but hey, there’s definitely cheaper options to be found that are just as beautiful.

This is now my third blog post in this series, and I’ve been having so much fun with it. I can’t wait to show everyone the last two spaces that I’m going to be throwing together, but for now, let’s focus on the bedroom. As you’ve probably figured out over the last few blogs, I’ve got a kind of traditional but boho sense of style. I love neutrals and whites & that’s not much different in this room either. Let’s jump into it:

Collage of items to create my dream bedroom.

Flooring & Paint

Much like with the living room, I would love to have a bedroom with muted brown-grey hardwood flooring throughout the entire room. I mean, honestly, who doesn’t want hardwood floors throughout their home? And of course, for the wall colour, I would without a doubt be sticking with a white colour - you may be thinking “that is pink, not white”, but according to the paint page I was on - it’s white, haha. But it most definitely has a reddish-pink undertone, which I love so not everything in the room is stark white & cold feeling.

Samsung Frame TV

Ahhh, the return of the Samsung Frame TV! It’s hard not to love this TV and want it in every room that you possibly can have it. What’s better than having a TV that can look like framed wall art when not in use, and is completely customizable? Right — nothing!

Bedding

Since becoming an adult, I’d say I feel pretty confident in saying that I’ve become a big fan of simple bedding, and not something with bold colours or patterns. At the end of a long day, I just want to feel like I’m laying on a cloud, so why not make your bed look like one.

Dresser & Side Tables

The older I get, the more I’ve developed a love for big dressers. Not only do I have a lot of clothes that need storing, but I just love the idea of a nice big dresser, with tons of space on top to decorate with candles, florals & my jewelry holders. As far as side tables go, did you really think I wouldn’t get that gold accent somewhere in there?

Side Table Lamps

I’m not sure why, but there’s always been something about big table lamps that I just love. I love the way the light from them can fill up a room, and not to mention, I love the shade of cream these lamps come in, making them a very versatile lighting option should you change your mind on colour schemes somewhere down the line.

Faux Florals

If fresh flowers weren’t so dang expensive, my home would be filled with them all the time! Alas, since they are on the pricey side, it’s a good thing manufacturers have gotten so good at making faux florals look so real.

Throw Blanket & Pillows

To add a little something to the plain bedding, a nice throw blanket draped over the bottom of the bed, as well as some textured accent pillows will be sure to bring the entire look of the bed together.

Canopy Bed Frame

Haven’t we all dreamed of sleeping in our very own canopy bed? There’s just something so regal and sophisticated about those bed frames, and almost makes you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation.

That’s a wrap on another blog post in this series. I only have one more rooms to go, but I’ve also got a ton of other fun content up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share with you all in the coming weeks; I mean, hey, Valentine’s Day is coming up quickly… See you guys again on Friday for my last blog post this week!
