6 Small Shops to Get Your Disney Loving Fix

Something you may not know about me is that I’m a massive Disney fan! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have noticed in my bio that I have “Fluent in Disney songs & sarcasm”, and if that doesn’t tell you how much of a Disney girl I am, I don’t think anything will. Also, personal apology to everyone who’s ever watched a Disney movie with me in the past, because they’ve been on the receiving end of me being fluent in those songs…and I’m not a good singer. Oops.

If you’re anything like me, and you mildly (or majorly) love Disney, want to flaunt your love of Disney, but don’t necessarily want to look like you’re a five-year-old prancing around the Disney parks, freaking out every time you see Cinderella (to be honest though, I probably would be…), then this blog post is for you. Over the years of me being a childless millennial who loves Disney – here’s looking at you, childless millennials who loves Disney shamers – I’ve come across some really awesome small shops who make items for Disney loving adults, and the best part is a lot of these items don’t make you look (or feel) like you’re a child. I also have to give a big shout out to Briana Luca for inspiring this blog post!)

My Oh My Supply Co.

Clothing & Accessories

I’ve been follow My Oh My Supply Co. (or for short, MOMSCo.) for a while now and to say that I love their items, is the absolute understatement of the century. Being in Canada, and our dollar not being the best in comparison to the American dollar, I can’t buy as often as I would like to, but I’m definitely a frequent window shopper on their website & their Instagram page. Also, Lindsey & Ali are both supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (see what I did there?) sweethearts, and have an awesome podcast that I listen to whenever they upload new episodes called Girls Talk Too Much (and yes, that is a Peter Pan reference). My favourite thing about their clothing & accessories is that it is not only designed by Lindsey & Ali, but they design them for young adults who love Disney but want to be able to wear their items out without getting those “ugh, childless millennials who love Disney” looks.

Mouse Ears & Accessories

I’ve been following BBBrooke on Instagram for well over five years now after discovering her beautiful handmade Mickey Mouse ears. If you know me at all, you know that it was the rose gold sequin sparkle ears that made me fall in love, haha! Over the years, I’ve seen Brooke add more than just mouse ears to her shop, including magic band/Apple Watch pins, clothing & now she’s currently working on making non-medical masks, obviously with Disney fabric, for those who need them. I can confidently say I’ve never seen a single person who loves Disney as much as her, and her collection of Disney wearables, including bags, clothes, shoes, and more is enviable.

Pixie Cases

iPhone & Android Phone Cases

From the moment that I stumbled across Pixie Cases on Instagram, I fell in love with Patty’s Disney phone cases, both obviously Disney & those that are subtler (like my personal favourite, the Mickey Mouse shaped macarons!). But don’t worry, it’s not all princesses and Mickey Mouse cases, she also offers cases for Marvel fans and Star Wars fans a like; which is great, but also bad for me because I love all of those things, and therefore want to buy almost everything. Patty doesn’t just exclusively make Disney cases though – she also offers adorable holiday-themed ones, and my personal favourite at Christmas time, Elf ones (if you know me, you know I’ve watched Elf in July before). In addition to the cases, Patty also sells Pops, Pockets & Stickers to get your Disney fix on your phone.

Disney-Inspired Popsockets

If a full blown phone case isn’t exactly your things, or better yet, you aren’t like me and own like 65 cases for one phone, then treating yourself to one of these magical Popsockets may be more up your alley. Magical Mouse Junkies is one of the newer Disney inspired small businesses I’ve come across in recent months, and I’ve been obsessed with the sparkle Popsockets since I laid eyes on them. Though, I will say these Popsockets are a little bit on the more expensive side, but you can tell from the photos that these are beautifully made items! Also, I love that Magical Mouse Junkies offers swappable tops for those who are like me, and like to switch their Popsockets as much as I like to switch up phone cases, haha.

Grape Soda Club

Accessories

Another shop full of adorable Disney-inspired items, Grape Soda Club is very much another company that I constantly am online window shopping on! Grape Soda Club has a plethora of amazing accessories including keychains, jewelry, pouches, phone cases and more. I think my favourite part about this shop is the light and airy colours that shop owner Alex uses in her products (personal shoutout to the Peter Pan inspired Off To Neverland iPhone case…I’m mildly obsessed with it). Alex is also offering Disney character face mask kits, which I think is probably the cutest thing ever!

Tarte & Bean

Accessories

Last, but most definitely not least is Tarte & Bean. Jessica’s shop Tarte & Bean is another small shop I’ve (very) recently come across. When I say very recently, I mean like in the last month or two! But I instantly fell in love with her items when I saw her Boater mouse hat. Yes, it’s a boater hat with Mickey Mouse ears! It’s adorable. After checking out her shop when I found this hat, I also loved that she has a carrying case for all of those with multiple pairs of ears to make travelling to Disney easier (whenever we’re allowed to travel again!), and she also sells an insert for that carrying case to place your ears over so they don’t get squished. Once we’re allowed to travel again, and I can go to Disney, I think I may need to invest in one of these travel cases and inserts…and maybe the boater hat too. Cause why not?

Though there are six shops on this list, this is no where near the amount of amazing Disney-inspired small shops that are out there. I know for a fact that I probably missed some, and I’m going to come back to this blog post in a couple of weeks, and realize I completely forgot about a shop that I love. Drop a comment below if you’ve bought anything from any of these small shops, or if you haven’t, something you love from their shops. Also – what is your favourite Disney movie? I honestly can’t nail mine down to one…so I’ll say some of my favourites are Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Moana & Hercules! Until next week, xo.
