Loungewear That Is Comfy & Cute

Surprise! Since I’ve been off, I wanted to create some more blog content, cause well… why not? I’m not really doing a whole lot, so I may as well work on stuff I’m super passionate about, and my blog is one of those things. I have to admit, it’s nice to wake up in the morning, open my laptop, grab a cup of coffee and start researching, writing, photographing & editing.

I’m sure like a lot of other people, I’ve been spending an obscene amount of time in loungewear… like, almost exclusively. It’s still a little brisk outside, but my windows are open, and I have to say, I’m thriving in my big chunky sweaters, leggings & thick socks! Although fall is my favourite season, spring isn’t far behind when it comes to my ideal temperatures. But, I know not everyone reading my blog lives where there’s still cool breezes, and it’s already getting a little toasty for you, so I’ve compiled a combination of warmer clothing & cooler clothing for any temperature! My favourite part about this list is that it includes a lot of items that (I think) should be staples in your closet, so you’ll be able to find them without having to purchase anything new.

Sweaters & Tops

1. TNA Boyfriend Hoodie: As far as I’m concerned, everyone needs a neutral coloured, pull over hoodie in their closet, and even better if it’s a bit oversized, in my opinion. There’s nothing quite as comfy as an oversized hoodie to hang out in, and it’s a piece that will also look super trendy when this quarantine is over paired with jeans and sneakers.

2. Aerie Boyfriend Cropped Oversized T-Shirt: Just like an oversized hoodie is a staple in my closet, so is a cropped t-shirt. This is definitely something I’ll be sporting on some warmer days with some bike shorts while working in the backyard on my little herb garden that I’m hoping will be coming sooner than later.

3. Aerie Boyfriend Distressed Oversized T-Shirt: This tee is the perfect piece for layering on days where you’re feeling a little more put together, but still want to be comfortable. Layering this with leggings, a cardigan (my fave is this limited edition The JH Erinn Cardigan from The Skinny), and throwing your hair up in a bun with your favourite scrunchie (my favourites are from Chelsea King and Allette & Co.) and get to work. The perfect working-from-home uniform, if you ask me!

4. Aerie Ribbed Long Sleeve T-Shirt: If you ask me what I automatically picture with a pair of joggers, the first thing I’d say is the above mentioned Aerie Boyfriend Cropped Oversized T-Shirt while it’s warmer, and the second thing I’d say is this Ribbed Long Sleeve T-Shirt for whenever it’s cooler. You can’t tell me that doesn’t look like the most comfortable long sleeve to spend the day in? Also, imagine it with the outfit above instead of the oversized t-shirt for extra warmth!

Bottoms

1. Aerie Sunday Soft Short: This one is for all of my readers who are in warmer climates than I am, but still want to live in your comfy sweats – what’s more perfect than soft shorts? These are definitely by every definition of the word, loungewear, so I can’t necessarily say that these are ones that I’d style to wear out & about after this quarantine, but hey, if you want to – you do you!

2. Aerie Plush Jogger: These joggers remind me almost exactly of a pair of pj pants that I bought from Aerie a couple of years ago, and if they are anything like those pj pants… just don’t hesitate. Buy them. Thank me later for how comfortable you are all the time. But in all seriousness, these joggers at definitely look more put together than actual pj pants, so these would be great for a cool morning walk, while still feeling like you’re in your pjs!

3. Aerie Chill High Waisted Crop Pant: Okay, if you honestly thought you were getting through this list without seeing a pair of leggings, you are sadly mistaken, hahah. I like to consider myself the self-proclaimed queen of leggings – I pretty much live in them, even when I was going into work! Aerie’s Move leggings have been seriously my favourite leggings I’ve ever bought, but of course since we’re not necessarily using these leggings for exercise, I figured the Chill line would suffice for comfort and cuteness.

4. Aerie Real Me Bike Short: If you’ve followed me on Instagram for some time, you would’ve seen that while I was in Hawai'i, I ended up buying myself a pair of black bike shorts. Well, shocker – they were from Aerie, much like about 97% of this list, hahaha (I can’t help it, Aerie just has the best stuff - sorry not sorry!). Well, to say I loved them and found them so comfy is the understatement of the century. I can’t believe it took me so long to buy a pair, but I’m happy I did & now I won’t be going back, and you should definitely get yourself a pair too.

Full Body Pieces

1. Smash + Tess Sunday Romper: Anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely swear by my Smash + Tess rompers (shoutout to my favourite person on the internet Jillian Harris for introducing me to this brand… much like about 70% of the things I like, LOL!) These rompers are definitely an investment item, valued at $119 CDN, however they are made in Canada & I can definitely say now more than ever, that I’m definitely wanting to invest in more Canadian-made items. If you feel the same, Smash + Tess have tons of styles to choose from, and you should check them out. Best part is you can totally style these rompers as pjs, or with a jean jacket, hat & sneakers for a cute out and about look (imagine going to the farmers market in this look!?!)

2. Aerie Real Soft® Ribbed Sleep Romper: If $119 is a little out of your budget, which I completely understand, in comes the Aerie replacement at a more affordable price. Similar to the Smash + Tess short rompers, this is another item that would be super easy to style either as pjs (which is what they’re meant for), but could also easily be paired with a faux-leather jacket, booties and sunglasses for a fun out & about look, whenever we can finally be out & about again! LOL.

3. Aerie Real Soft® Ribbed Robe: Am I the only person who’s weirdly obsessed with these soft, thinner robes?! I think they’re just so perfect for whenever you get up in the morning, throwing it on, sitting in bed with your coffee and working on stuff on your laptop. Look, honestly, I just thought this was so cute, and that is mainly why it’s on this list, but you can’t really disagree with me… look at it!

So, is anyone else wearing nothing but loungewear during this quarantine? If you’re wearing real clothes, especially jeans, all I have to say is dang - good for you. I don’t know how you’re doing it, but kudos. I guess if you’re working from home, it may not be a bad idea to wear your everyday real clothes as usual… but okay, how about after work?! Tell me you’re instantly putting on your comfy clothes, hahaha. See you guys again tomorrow & hope you loved this bonus blog post! Also, let me know what you think of the new look of the collages - I’d love to know what you think! Xo.
