Unboxing the Fall 2021 Jilly Box
Ahhh, the season that I look forward to the most; fall! So what’s better than the fall season? The fall season and the Jilly Box! If I’m being perfectly honest, last seasons fall box wasn’t one of my favourites — it was good, just not necessarily filled with items that I’d find myself gravitating towards using. Well, this year is very different. In fact, I’d venture to say this box might be in my top 3 favourites of all of the Jilly Boxes — so with that being said, let’s jump into this unboxing!
Essential Oil Spray
K'Pure Naturals
If you're new to my blog, you may not know what a big fan of essential oils I am — my first blog post was all of my favourite items from Saje Wellness, and I've done tons of blogs on essential oils since. So of course, when I opened this seasons Jilly Box and saw the Keep Going Energizing Essential Oil Spray, I knew it was something I was going to be putting to good use!
Lip Colour Pencil
Elate Cosmetics
I love finding new beauty brands, especially ones that are vegan and cruelty-free. I'm also a huge fan of lip products! In this box, we got the Lip Colour Pencil in the colour Ardent from Elate Cosmetics — it looks like it'll be the perfect colour for the fall season, so I can’t wait to give it a try. The only downside I will say is because we are still in throws of COVID, masks are still mandatory, and I suspect they will be for a while still, so there won’t be much opportunity for me to wear it out unless I’ll be outside & socially distanced.
Pumpkin Spice Blend
Blume
One of my favourite things about fall is all things pumpkin spice, and my addiction to PSLs is no exception. What I love most about the fact that the Pumpkin Spice Blend from Blume was included in the box, is that it's not only vegan, but definitely better for you than a PSL from Starbucks! I’ve yet to give this a try, but will be sure to post an update on my Instagram when I do.
Pink Speckled Travel Mug
Tav Ceramics
To go along perfectly with that Pumpkin Spice blend, is this gorgeous Pink Speckled Travel Mug from Tav Ceramics. Us in the Jilly Box community are great sleuths, and so many people figured out this item was in the box, and I am so thrilled that it was! I’m a total mug junkie, and love collecting mugs of all shapes, colours, sizes & so on. Though I'm not travelling — to any fun destinations or even to work right now, I'm definitely going to be using this travel mug everyday for my morning coffee!
Set of Pens & Notebook
Love Powered Co.
I am such a sucker for stationery — paper, pens, notebooks, sticky notes — I love it all, and would probably even consider myself a bit of an addict?! Haha. But in all seriousness, I'm super excited to dive into this notebook (which isn’t just your typical lined notebook either!) with the pens from Love Powered Co. — I’m hoping this may even become a part of a morning or night routine for me!
Blue Light Glasses
Poppy & Peonies
If you've seen some of my past blogs, you know what a huge fan I am of Blue Light Glasses. I have multiple pairs — some I keep at home, others I keep in the office (who knows when I'll even see those ones again! They're probably pretty dusty now...) I also have a pair that look so much like these ones from Poppy & Peonies, but these ones are so much nicer! I know this is an item that I’ll be using daily since I’m constantly looking at screens for work, freelance projects, this blog and of course, even scrolling on my phone — we gotta protect our eyes!
Blanket Scarf
One Wednesday
If there is one thing that I'm a huge fan of in the fall, it’s a cozy Blanket Scarf, and of course, an amazing leopard print (I’m just waiting to pull out my Jilly Jacket 2.0 again for this year)! Fall just screams all things leopard print to me, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s totally a neutral during this season. Not to mention, this item is quite literally a blanket-scarf because you can totally use it for both purposes! Find yourself getting a little chilly while sitting outside? Blanket. Wanting to wear it with a cute denim jacket & some leggings? Scarf! All I know is that I can’t wait to use once the weather starts to cool down.
Backpack
Fawn Design
There had definitely been rumours going around about the possibility of a backpack being in this seasons Jilly Box, and particularly a Fawn Design Backpack, and I’m so happy this rumour turned out to be true! I’ve wanted a Fawn Design backpack for a while, but couldn’t bring myself to buy one — I just didn’t have a need for a bag that expensive. But honestly, I love having backpacks for walking my pup, especially since this summer. I can carry extra poop bags, a water bottle for both him and I, as well as other other necessities. I know I’ll be using this item pretty much daily going forward!
Add-On: Bracelet Set
Rosie Joan Collective
Time for the add-ons! Of the three offered for this box, I got two (though I did get the third add-on for a friend), and the first one I want to talk about is the Bracelet Set from Rosie Joan! I wasn’t originally planning on getting the bracelets, but I just couldn’t resist — I’m a sucker for a good bracelet stack, especially if it’s gold and has a pink element to it. These are definitely going to be apart of my daily jewelry collection from now, on!
Add-On: Wool Fedora
Anupaya
Last, but most certainly not least — the Wool Fedora from Anupaya. When this hat arrived (as it was shipped separately from the Jilly Box), and I tried it on, I knew that even if I didn’t like one other item from this season’s box, I’d be so happy I got this add-on item. Not only is it the most beautiful hat I’ve ever seen, it’s the most amazing shade of pink, perfect for the summer transition to the fall. Even though it’s been like 30°C for weeks, I’ve been wearing this hat non-stop. I can’t wait to pair it with some cute fall outfits for the cooler weather!
And that is it! That’s the entirety of the fall 2021 Jilly Box! Time always goes by so fast between each Jilly Box arriving, so it’s wild to think that the next time we’ll be doing one of these unboxing blogs, it’ll be heading into the holiday season. Though I can’t wait to start thinking about the winter 2021 box, I’ll be here enjoying the fall one until then!
