Christmas Gift Guide for Him
If you thought I was just going to leave you with one gift guide this season, you are mistaken! This is one I truly can struggle with sometimes. I know I mentioned in my last Gift Guide for Her, that I’m a self-proclaimed master of gifting, but I generally have a harder time finding Christmas* presents for the guys** in my life. I’ve already got my Christmas shopping done for this year, but to help everyone else, and even myself going forward in the coming years, or maybe even for some birthdays, here’s my compiled list of great gifts for him:
Gift Guide for Him
1. iPhone Charging Case | 2. Wireless Charger | 3. Shaving Foam | 4. Google Home | 5. Fossil Smart Watch | 6. Herschel Backpack | 7. Mug | 8. Ray-Ban Sunglasses | 9. Sony Wireless Headphones | 10. Corkcicle Bottle | 11. Sweater | 12. Popsocket | 13. Yeti Mug | 14. Shower Beer Holder | 15. Beard Oil | 16. Whisky Stones | 17. Wayne Gretzky Ninety-Nine Proof Whisky
Tech Goodies
Much like my Gift Guide for Her, this gift guide features tons of tech products that are absolutely perfect to get anyone. There’s lots of similar product on this list too, but there’s also some slight variations, and additional products! Let’s start with the products that are shown on both gift guides:
If your recipient has a QI compatible phone, a great gift that varies in price points is a Wireless Charger.
The perfect gift for any guy with an iPhone who is running out of battery all the time is the Apple Smart Battery Case. (Linked to the iPhone XS Max Smart Battery Case, but also available for the iPhone Xs, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro & iPhone 11 Pro Max)
Do you know anyone who is constantly dropping their phone? A really great & affordable gift is a Popsocket. The best part is there are tons of designs you can choose from. Just make sure that if they have a phone with wireless charging capabilities to get them a swappable top Popsocket, as the original design does not allow for wireless charging.
Now, onto the list of products that weren’t included on the Gift Guide for Her (but of course, are also still great options no matter what gender you’re purchasing for):
One of the best things I’ve ever got for myself is a smart watch. I personally am on all things Apple, but if you’re shopping for someone who is on an Android operating system, a great smart watch for them is the Fossil Gen 4 Smartwatch.
I know I talked about the new Airpods Pro in the Gift Guide for Her, but if you’re looking to get someone some wireless headphones who may not be into Apple products, or prefers an over-ear headphone, I’d suggest going with the Sony Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. I don’t personally own these, but I know a few people who do, and just love them!
Lastly, a great gift for someone who’s super into tech is a Google Home. Make sure whoever you’re shopping for wants one of these though - not everyone is keen on these kind of devices in their home, so before you spend your hard earned money on this, maybe try dropping a hint or two to see if they’re interested.
Beard Maintenance Products
I know this won’t apply to everyone reading this, but if the recipient you’re shopping for has a beard & it’s something he prides himself on, I feel confident that they probably have a daily beard maintenance routine, and if not, you can introduce one with a new product by gifting him with some Beard Oil.
Now this one is for the men who like to keep their face beard-free. If you’ve read my past blog posts before, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Saje products, and I’m particularly fond of their Shaving Foam since it is cruelty-free! Pick up the guy you’re shopping for some of this stuff, and I’m sure he will love it.
Since most guys usually take care of their beard in the bathroom - or if they’re like my boyfriend, in the shower - a super cool, affordable gift is the Shower Beer Holder. I had no idea this was such a huge thing, but apparently it is! I even got one for my boyfriend for his upcoming birthday (don’t worry, he already knows).
Wearables
Something that I feel like most people could always use is a new backpack. I know I’m guilty of carrying around the same old backpack for far too long, so an awesome gift for any guy who really needs a backpack upgrade is this Herschel Backpack. It comes in a wide variety of colours, so you can choose whichever one you think is best for the guy you’re gifting to.
One thing that drives me nuts is watching my boyfriend squinting from being nearly blinded by the sun whenever we’re out. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told him “just go buy yourself some sunglasses already!”, this I’m sure he can attest to. If you know anyone who is in need of some new sunnies & know they won’t lose a really good pair, gifting some Ray-Ban Sunglasses I’m sure would go a long way.
Another perfect cold climate gift is a nice cozy Sweater. If you live somewhere that gets cold like I do, sweaters are basically a uniform from the months of November until March, so there should be no shortage of sweaters in anyone’s closet!
Bar Cart Accessories
If the man you are shopping for this Christmas is anything like my boyfriend, he probably said “just get me a case of beer for Christmas” and if you’re anything like me, you rolled your eyes at him. Well, this is kind of a happy medium. If whisky is his thing, getting a bottle of something a little more expensive like the Wayne Gretzky Ninety-Nine Proof Whisky, I’m positive he’ll be absolutely thrilled to get a gift like that.
If you’re wanting to add something a little extra along with that (very expensive) bottle of whisky, grab some Whisky Stones so he can enjoy his drink with something to keep it cold, without diluting the flavour.
Things To Drink From
Hey, this list looks familiar! If you read the Gift Guide for Her, you’ll recognize all of these items - so I’m just going to run through this rather quickly, so those who read both don’t have to read the same thing twice, haha:
If you’re looking for a great new travel mug for your recipient in question, I’d recommend a Yeti Tumbler. It keeps your drinks hot, and keeps a paper cup from ending up in the landfill (plus the Yeti tumbler looks really nice too).
Don’t you hate when you really don’t know what to get someone? My go-to in this case is to pick up a Mug. Get something that matches their personality (like if they’re super into dogs, get them a dog related mug), or something plain and simple.
Know someone who is constantly drinking water? If you want to give them something a little more on the pricey side, but still affordable, I’d suggest a Corkcicle Bottle. If they love their water to be nice and cold, this bottle will definitely keep it chilly!
Another lengthy blog post over and done with, haha. Don’t forget to share this list to maybe give some others in your life a hint if you liked something on here, or if you know other people who are struggling to find the perfect gifts for the men in their life this holiday season. See ya on Friday!
* Whatever holiday you celebrate, as long as there is gifting involved, you can absolutely reference this list for inspiration!
** No matter what gender your recipient identifies as, if you think they’d like something off this list, go for it!
