Must Have Cozy Clothing Pieces for the Winter

We’re officially more than half way through the month of November (hard to believe, right?! Where did 2021 go?!), and we’re headed full steam ahead for the winter months, which means that I am now impatiently awaiting winter’s official arrival with the first snowfall (yep, everyone hates me, I know), and reaching for all of my coziest items in my closet & drawers. Let me share all of my favourite must have pieces for the cooler weather with you right now!

SWEATERS

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, it probably comes at no surprise to see an entire category on this blog post dedicated to chunky, cable knit sweaters. I’d probably live in sweaters if it was cold year-round (yes, my American readers, Canada can get very hot in the summer!). But in all seriousness, who doesn’t love throwing on a big cozy sweater and bundling yourself up in a blanket on the couch with a hot cup of coffee?!

ROMPERS

Another personal favourite of mine for the cooler months is rompers, especially my trusty Jillian Harris x Smash & Tess Harris Hoodie. This is my favourite kind of cozy attire to put on at the end of a long work day, or first thing in the morning on a lazy weekend morning. One of my favourite ways to wear any of my rompers out is with my Harris Coat and Mary Sneakers from Jillian Harris’ collaboration with Joe Fresh.

ACCESSORIES

When you live in a cold weather climate where 4-6 months of the year can be spent in lots and lots of snow, you have to look for the silver lining in all of that snow, and for me that includes getting excited about accessorizing my winter looks — hats, scarves, fuzzy socks, cozy mittens. You name it, I’ve probably got a weirdly large collection of them.

What are some pieces that you gravitate towards during the cooler winter months? Do you prefer to be extra comfy, stylish or both? I’m definitely team both. Why not look cute and comfy at the exact same time right!?! I feel like everyone always talks about how cute summer & fall clothing is, but winter clothing can be just as cute if you put some thought into it!
