My Spooky Season Favourites for 2023

Believe it or not, but we just over one month away from Halloween! Where has 2023 gone? I could’ve sworn I was just writing up blog posts in June all about our European honeymoon, and yet here we are – a week away from Canadian Thanksgiving, and a matter of days away from the beginning of my favourite month, October! With the return of October, that also means that spooky season is almost officially upon us (yay!), and that also means it’s time to get ready to get your ghoul on! Here are some of my favourite home & fashion items that you, and I, can add our collections this year.

Spooky Fashion

For someone who loves spooky season as much as I do, I’m always amazed at how little I have in my closet when it comes to spooky fashion, but there’s so much to choose from out there. My personal favourite thing is big cozy sweaters and socks because, well, October is usually quite cold where I live by the time Halloween rolls around! I can’t wait to add some more spooky to my fall fashion this year.

Spooky Home Decor

The moment that Thanksgiving passes here in Canada, I immediately go into Halloween decorating mode, especially since it’s such a short season; we only get about two weeks before it’s time to take it all down again. Some of my personal favourite items to decorate with during the spookiest time of the year is bats and crows, which is hilarious if you know how terrified I am of things that fly!

So what’s your favourite way to add some spooky season to your life? For me, I’m a really big fan of the cozy in a big Halloween sweater, staying at home, watching cutesy Halloween movies on my couch all day, surrounded by my not-so-scary Halloween home decor. Let me know your favourite way in the comments below! 🕸

Until next time, Emily
