Current Saje Favourites
Hey there, and welcome to my first blog post! In this post, I’m going to tell you a bit about what brought me to wellness, how I fell absolutely in love with Saje products, and my current favourite products from Saje Natural Wellness.
I’d be lying if I said that I had a, pardon the pun, natural interest in wellness. It wasn’t something I was necessarily not into, or thought was hokey, but wellness just wasn’t something that I paid attention to, until an influencer that I follow, Jillian Harris (I promise, you’re going to read Jillian’s name a LOT – I’m a big fan), started working with Saje. I’ve followed Jillian for probably 5+ years now, and was introduced to her by watching the show she co-hosts, Love It or List It Vancouver, and I was always so inspired by the content she created, and got even MORE into the content she was creating when she started on her plant-based journey. Now, you can read all about that on her blog, of course, so I won’t go into the details, but long & short of it – Jillian introduced me to Saje & their products when she started posting about them on her blog & Instagram. And let me tell you, once I tried it, I was hooked.
Something you’ll come to know about me, especially in future posts, is I’m a BIG advocate for animal rights, and I’ve committed myself to using as many cruelty-free products as I possibly can (a blog post in regards to how that journey of mine started is coming soon!). My cruelty-free journey has quickly grown over the years to me becoming vegetarian, using cruelty-free shower products, soaps, cleaners, etc. So once I found Saje, I was like a kid in a candy store. All of their products are natural, cruelty-free, and some are even vegan! Enough about why I love Saje so much, and let’s get into my current favourite products:
JILLIAN HARRIS AROMAOM DIFFUSER

Of course, I’ve got to start with a diffuser! Created in partnership with Saje & Jillian Harris, this diffuser is literally everything I could ask for as far as style goes. I’m very into a natural, boho kind of look, and I prefer when my decor has a more neutral base, so I can decorate with colour in much less expensive ways, like pillow covers & faux florals (this also comes in handy during the holidays!) The diffuser has the perfect, natural-looking chevron-like pattern in white on beige. It’s the perfect thing to add to any room in your home, no matter what the colour palette is! Getting into the technical info, the diffuser runs either 3 hours continuously, or 6 hours intermittently (30 seconds on, 30 seconds off), and has a light that you can turn on or off manually. The AromaOm can fill a space of up to approximately 400 sq. feet with your favourite blend, so it’s perfect for putting in one room if you want different scents across different areas of your home. Unfortunately, this specific diffuser was launched last fall, and was limited edition, however, Saje does still carry the AromaOm in black & white, and they have continued to come out with other limited edition colours and patterns.
JILLIAN HARRIS HAPPY PLACE DIFFUSER BLEND

What matches better with your Jillian Harris x Saje diffuser than the Jillian Harris x Saje Happy Place Diffuser Blend?! This blend is definitely one of my favourites due to the floral & citrus notes. I’m personally a big fan of feminine scents, and if you’re anything like me, I can pretty much guarantee you’d love this scent too. These kinds of blends are my favourite mainly because they smell fresh & clean, but of course, they’re natural essential oils, so it doesn’t smell like chemicals! I’m about to be Debbie-Downer here again, but this was also a limited edition product from Jillian Harris x Saje, but to make up for showing you yet another discontinued, limited edition item, I’ve compiled a list of three blends that have similar notes, that are still being sold at Saje as of right now! Liquid Sunshine, Goddess & Citrus Dream are all going to deliver that same kind of feeling of fresh, clean & of course, they’re very uplifting, just like Happy Place.
STRESS RELEASE INHALER
Look! A product that is still being sold! Haha - I think this is something everyone is all too familiar with. You want to use something scented at work, but your office is scent-free due to allergies - which don’t get me wrong, is totally fair! Everyone has the right to a comfortable and safe work environment – but sometimes, you just REALLY want to use your scented product. I, like many, many other people, often find myself getting stressed at work – I have a high work load, with short deadlines, and sometimes I just need to take a minute to myself. That’s when I take out my Stress Release Inhaler. I cannot tell you enough how perfect this little inhaler is for the office. The scent is contained within the inhaler, and can only be smelled when brought up to your nose to inhale, making it perfect for those around you who have allergies – they don’t smell it, you get your scented relaxation-in-an-inhaler. It’s perfect to keep in your bag or on your desk. It’s an absolute must for me to keep with me at all times.
LIQUID SUNSHINE CANDLE
If I’m being perfectly honest, this isn’t really on the list for any other reason other than I just love the smell. There are other scents available, but the Liquid Sunshine Candle is the best one in my honest opinion. But, the highlight of this product is mainly when the candle is gone. Saje’s candles all come in a recycled glass vessel, which of course, is reusable and recyclable! Depending on if you choose between the small or large candle, you could easily turn the vessel into a pot for a plant, pencil holder, put a tea light candle in it, or whatever else your imagination can come up with. If none of these options really fit into your life, you can also easily throw it in the recycling bin. This candle is not only perfect for lighting when you need to relax, but also a real win for the environment. Bonus points for the fact that these candles aren’t filled with chemicals and toxins like many other big-box-store candles can be.
GODDESS SHAVING FOAM
If you live a cruelty-free lifestyle like I do, you know it’s been a mission and a half to try and find a good, cruelty-free, maybe even vegan, shaving cream replacement. That is why I got SO excited when Saje launched their Shaving Foams last year. I’m not going to lie; using a shaving foam is a bit of an adjustment. Not a bad one at all, but an adjustment due to the difference in texture from a shaving cream. It’s obviously a lot lighter, and isn’t pasty, so you want to make sure you’re not getting yourself too close to the water when you have the shaving foam on, but otherwise, it does the job! I personally use the Goddess Shaving Foam since it’s the more feminine scent between the two scents that Saje has created in the Shaving Foams, but if you want a more masculine scent, or just aren’t a big fan of floral scents, Peaceful Warrior is also a great option.
AU NATURAL CRYSTAL DEODORANT
I think it’s safe to say that it’s common knowledge in 2019 that antiperspirants with aluminum have been linked to the development of cancer, but yet many people continue to use them because, well, let’s be honest, and I’m about to pick on the issues with society here… society has trained us that people shouldn’t sweat, and if you ask me, that’s not okay. If we weren’t meant to sweat, we wouldn’t! I feel like I only ever owned one antiperspirant in my life, but otherwise I’ve always been a deodorant kind of girl. Up until recently, finding a feminine deodorant that was aluminum free was next to impossible. Your options were usually antiperspirant, or men’s deodorant (also, why is it okay for men to sweat but not women?!). Last year, when Jean-Pierre LeBlanc, one of the founders of Saje, went on a little event tour across Canada, I was lucky enough to be in a city where he was going to be doing a presentation, so I went to the event, and that’s when I was introduced to the Crystal Deodorant. It’s unscented, all natural & for people with sensitivities, it’s great because it’s only one ingredient - mineral salt. Now, I will warn you, because it’s unscented, it doesn’t cover up smells very intensely, but the wonderful thing about this product is that it can be paired with the Saje spray on deodorants (available in Exotic, Floral & Peaceful Warrior, shown below) for extra scent-protection. But the absolute BEST part about the crystal deodorant? It lasts for 5 years! I’ve had mine for almost a year already and there’s hardly a dent taken out of the crystal.
LAVENDER BATH SALTS
We’re almost done, I promise! I know, I really can talk about Saje products a lot – that’s how much I really, really do love them. Now, I’m not a big bath person. I know some people who really love to take bubble baths, and just relax, but my mind is just far too active for me to just sit in a bath & do nothing for 20 minutes. However, when I am feeling up for a relaxing bath, I like to use my Saje Lavender Bath Salts. Usually, when I want to take a bath, I’m one of three things: tired but can’t sleep, sick, or sore. The lavender bath salts are the perfect all-in-one to have since lavender seems to help with a lot of these problems, at least for me. But I find it works best when I can’t sleep, since it helps me feel relaxed and at ease, allowing me to finally get tired. Of course, like all other Saje products too, there are no nasty chemicals in the bath salts, so you can feel good that you’re using a product that isn’t harmful to you.
LAUNDRY LOVE WOOL DRYER BALLS & BLEND SET
Well, I may sound like a weirdo, but I love walking down the laundry & cleaning supply aisle at the store. What I don’t love however, is all of the chemicals I’m breathing in when walking down that aisle. And I’ve got to say, after using more natural products, you really do start to notice the chemical-smell from other cleaning supplies. Once I found Saje’s Laundry Love Wool Dryer Ball & Laundry Blend Set, I was really thankful my family now has something we can throw in the dryer in placement of dryer sheets. My favourite things about these dryer balls is that you can choose whether to use the Sweet Sheets laundry blend, or you can opt to not to put any scent on at all, and just throw the dryer balls in to help with static, dry time & keeping your clothes separated.
