What’s in my Cart: Cottagecore Spring Fashion
I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for the start of spring! There’s nothing I love more than when the weather starts warming up, the sun stays out just a bit longer each day, and I can put away the bulkiest of my sweaters… well, actually, I think one thing I do love more is the start of fall, but spring is a close second! The best part about spring is the start of gardening season, and pulling out some of my favourite fashion items for another year. I always tell myself I’m not allowing myself to purchase anymore, but yet I’m always adding pieces to my collection. So, let’s chat all things spring fashion!
01. Overalls | 02. French Market Tote | 03. Cherry Socks | 04. Bow Earrings | 05. Bow-Tie Shirt | 06. Cardigan | 07. Straw Hat | 08. Sandals | 09. Milkmaid Skirt | 10. T-Shirt | 11. Poplin Dress
Sundresses
One item of clothing I always look forward to pulling out of storage in the spring is my collection of sundresses! They transition so well between spring and summer, are super comfortable, and easy to throw on while still looking put together. I always say that I need to stop buying new dresses every year, but I can’t seem to be stopped no matter what I do! (Sorry, definitely not sorry!)
Bold Colours & Patterns
Remember not that long ago when we were all terrified of colour? Though I’ll admit, I don’t necessarily love gem tones all of a sudden, I am enjoying incorporating more pops of colour & pattern into my wardrobe! Lately, I’m finding myself drawn to greens, blues & browns (duh), and shockingly, an orange-red. If you know me, I always said I was not a fan of red, so this is really something I did not expect of myself.
In addition to pops of colour, I absolutely love pattern. It’s an easy way to make an outfit just a bit more exciting, and I personally love to use stripes, and gingham the most. Mixing pattern with a pop of colour is also new to me, and I’m really loving it lately!
Overalls
Ahhh, overalls. I just absolutely love overalls for spring & summer fashion. Similar to sundresses, they’re super comfortable & easy to wear as the weather heats up. As someone who loves to garden as well, they’re not just cute, but functional as well.
Footwear & Accessories
When it comes to accessories, I’m a big believer that accessories truly make an outfit. Whether it’s a wide brimmed hat, the perfect tote bag, or a scarf tied around the handle of your purse, I love to accessorize, especially in the spring!
