12 Gift Ideas for this Mother’s Day

It’s hard to believe, but Mother’s Day is only just a little over two weeks away! Isn’t that wild? I swear, it was just Christmas! But alas, May is only a few days away, and Mother’s Day is right behind. It can be difficult to come up with gift ideas, believe me, I know – I even struggle with it myself sometimes, but I’ve come up with a foolproof list of gift ideas that are sure to make any mother figure in your life feel loved and cherished (but, gifts are not the only way to show love, and if you can’t get your mom a gift, just showing her how much she means to you is the perfect gift too!).

Collage of Mother's Day gift ideas.

01. FRAMED ART

Has your mom been eyeing up a specific print, or maybe she just wants to refresh her space? Whether it’s from an artist or something you created yourself, a piece of framed art would make an amazing gift this Mother’s Day.

02. STANLEY WATER BOTTLE

We’ve all heard about and seen the latest water bottle that everyone is loving, the Stanley water bottle. Whether your mom loves neutrals or pops of colour, this water bottle comes in every colour imaginable and features a large handle making it easy to bring around (plus, it fits in a car cup holder!). If your mom needs a new water bottle, look no further.

03. NECKLACE

Or any piece of jewelry, really. Especially if it’s customizable to the most important things in her life, a new necklace is sure to be a hit!

04. PERFUME

Why not gift your mom a new bottle of her favourite perfume (or a new one for her to try) this Mother’s Day? Just note — perfume can be pricey, so ensure that your mom doesn’t have allergies to scents first!

05. BATH FIZZIES OR 06. BATH SALTS

Who doesn’t love the idea of a hot, relaxing bath, while reading a good book and enjoying your favourite candle? Honestly, I don’t know anyone who would turn that down. Why not spruce up that experience by gifting your mom some new bath fizzies or bath salts to enjoy?

07. WATERING CAN

Is your mom a gardener? If so, she probably knows the infamous Haws company which sells beautiful watering cans. Treat her to a high-quality, new watering can that she’s sure to love!

08. FLOWER CROCK

Going hand-in-hand with the watering can, or if your mom just loves to have fresh flowers around the house, a new vase is sure to be a hit!

09. A BOOK SHE WANTS

Has your mom been eyeing up a certain book? Why not get her that book!? Or, if you don’t know what book she wants, but you know she’s a big reader, a gift card is the perfect alternative to a book itself.

10. JADE FACE ROLLER

If you haven’t tried a face roller before, it’s a total game changer and feels like an amazing facial massage (especially if you put it in the fridge!). If your mom is trying to up her self-care game, or you think she deserves more self-care time (hint: she does), treat her to a new face roller.

11. A NEW HANDBAG

I don’t know anyone who would turn down a new handbag! The key is to ensure it’s the kind of handbag she’d love – not everyone wants a clutch, some people want a crossbody, a tote or even a backpack! Just make sure you know she’d love and use it, but a new handbag is sure to be an amazing gift.

12. DYSON HAIR DRYER

Last, but certainly not least – if you’ve got a higher budget, or multiple people to split the cost with, the Dyson hair dryer would make an incredible gift. I treated myself to one a couple of years ago, and I use it every time I wash my hair. If your mom loves to style her hair, and she’s in need of a new dryer, this hair dryer is the gift of all gifts!

I hope this gift guide brings you a ton of ideas for this upcoming Mother’s Day. Also, I’d like to remind you that even if you can’t afford a gift this year, spending time with your mom, or mother figure, and showing them how much you love them is worth more than any gift you could buy.

Until next time, Emily
