5 Fashion Must Haves for the Fall Season
Although I’m sure that by now, the fact that I live and breathe the autumn season is well established here, I still feel the need to repeat it again at the beginning of this post — I absolutely love fall; everything about it. The colours, the weather, but most importantly the fashion. Nothing gets me more excited than the idea of getting my closet ready for the cooler weather, and packing away my tank tops and shorts (they’re cute, but they’ve got nothing on fall fashion). But what are my must have items, you may be wondering — well, let me tell you.
1. Oversized Sweater
There’s nothing I love more than a good, oversized sweater for the fall, especially in neutral colours so it goes with everything. Though I have quite the collection, I’m on the lookout this year for a slouchy, oversized, white turtleneck.
2. A Collection of Scarves
Okay, maybe a collection of scarves might be a stretch, but having at least a couple of options for cooler days, and some for slightly-warmer-but-not-warm days is ideal in my opinion. Again, I’m personally a fan of neutral colours, but this is also a great opportunity to add a pop of colour to an outfit.
3. Denim Jeans
I mean, honestly, isn’t fall the best time of year to wear jeans? I know after the last year and a bit that we’ve had, we’ve all come accustomed to stretchy pants and leggings — myself included — but there’s something about the idea of a cute fall outfit including wearing some great jeans that I just can’t wait for.
4. The Perfect Hat
Accessories are what really makes a look if you ask me, and the perfect hat for the fall is the cherry on top. The amount of hats I have is kind of out of hand, given how often I wear them (not overly), but during the fall, I’ll rotate through my hat collection anytime I leave the house.
5. Comfortable & Cute Boots
Last, but certainly not least — there’s nothing more vital to me in the fall than a pair of boots that not only look good, but are also comfortable enough that I can walk around quite a bit. During the fall, I like to walk around a fair amount, so having something both equally beneficial in the form & function category is a must.
