6 Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas
The big day is quickly approaching (only 16 more days now!), and if you live in Canada during our mail carrier strike, it’s safe to say that we’re well past the deadline for pre-holiday arrival on shipping physical items this holiday season. If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift, or you come across this blog closer to the 25th of December, and you’re starting to panic – fret not! Here are six holiday gift ideas that are perfect for the last minute holiday shopper.
01. TICKETS TO AN EVENT
Whether it’s a concert, ballet, opera, or even something like a festival, tickets to an event that you get to attend together is a fantastic gift! Not only is it something you don’t have to wrap, and can purchase last minute; but you also have the option to enjoy the event with them (if you’d like!).
02. SUBSCRIPTION BOX
Subscription boxes can make an excellent gift this holiday season! There’s pretty much a subscription box for everything and anything now – wine, cheese, fashion, even for pets! Some even give you the option to pay for a set amount of months, or the whole year.
03. GIFT CARDS TO THINGS THEY LOVE
Gift cards can sometimes feel like an easy, after-thought type of present, but if you put some thought into where they’d like a gift card to, it can feel just as personal as a physical item! Some ideas include their favourite spa, their e-reader of choice’s store, their guilty-pleasure restaurant, or if you’re shopping for someone who’s just moved out, a grocery store or home decor store.
04. WORKSHOPS OR CLASSES
This is actually something on my Christmas wish list this year! If you happen to know someone wants to try something out, especially if you know that they won’t buy it for themselves, a workshop or class is an amazing gift. Some ideas could include pottery, painting, horseback riding, or even workout classes such as pilates or yoga.
05. YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION TO A SERVICE
Subscriptions to things like streaming services can be pricey, especially when there’s so many to choose from, and frankly, who doesn’t have at least two of the many options out there? Gifting someone a yearly subscription to one of their favourite streaming services makes an excellent gift that they can enjoy all year long.
06. PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
Last, but certainly not least, if you’re shopping for someone who loves to make memories, why not gift a session with a professional photographer?! Many photographers now offer mini sessions as well that are at a lower cost than their hourly rate, which in my opinion, makes an excellent gift!
