7 of the Best Moments of 2022

Another year has come and gone, and what is most wild for me to think is that in September of 2023, it’ll be four years since I started blogging! I’m so grateful for another year of being on this platform, and all of the friends I’ve made along the way — but let’s talk specifically about 2022 and 7 of the best moments from this year, both personally and professionally! 2022 was a great year, but I’m so excited to see what 2023 has in store.

01. GETTING MARRIED!

First and probably the most obvious, getting married was 100% the best part of 2022. Our wedding day was truly everything I had hoped it would be, and more. We had the most amazing vendors, and it was such a surreal feeling having all of our closest family and friends there to celebrate our love story.

02. I STARTED A NEW JOB

After 5 and a half years at my old place of work, I moved onto a new challenge that’s allowed me to learn so much, and I’ve made great new connections. It’s also allowed me to obtain a healthier work-life balance that I was struggling to get before.

03. BECAME A JVN HAIR QUEEN!

This was such an exciting thing for me! I’m absolutely in love with JVN Hair products, and after ranting and raving on social media for a few months, I was asked to be apart of the JVN Hair Community, which I obviously said YES! I will admit, I thought it was too good to be true at first, but I’m so happy it was in fact very real.

04. ENJOYED MORE TIME DOING THINGS WE LOVE

With things re-opening and life beginning to feel more “normal” (whatever that means!) again, we found ourselves getting a chance to do more of the things we love doing this year. We got out to more museums, farms and I even got to do a harvest & learn at a local flower farm with my mom, which was easily one of the best things. I highly recommend doing this as a gift for Mother’s Day!

05. CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH AMAZING BRANDS

I was so thrilled to be able to continue working with some of the amazing brands that I got to work with in 2021, and luckily also got to build new relationships and partnerships with brands that I hadn’t worked with in the past.

06. SPENT LOTS OF TIME WITH FREDDIE

Spending time with Freddie (and of course my husband) is always one of my favourite things to do, and I’m so happy we got to spend even more time together this year. We made it a point to get out and enjoy big nature walks with him, and you can always tell how much he loves it.

07. SPENT MORE TIME OUTDOORS

This kind of goes hand-in-hand with getting to do more of what we loved, because I do quite love being outside, but I find the intense heat of the summer can be a lot, and then I have these big grandiose plans of what I wanna do in the fall, winter & spring and then never do them, but not this year! I enjoyed being outside more this year than I have in the past and I’m hoping to keep this up into 2023.

What were some of your highlights of 2022? Feel free to share them in the comments below — I’d love to hear how 2022 made you smile. And once again, happy 2023 everyone!
