Cute & Comfortable Shoes for Summer

The weather is warming up quickly (especially where I live! It was 32°C at the end of May — I was not here for it at all), so that means it’s time to pull out all of our summer clothing, shoes & accessories for another season of sunshine, bugs & sunburns — clearly, I love summer, huh? All jokes aside, summer may not be my favourite season, but it’s so nice just sliding on a pair of cute & comfortable shoes when you have to go out, unlike in the winter where you need about 5 minutes to get dressed with your coat & boots at the door!

SLIDES & SANDALS

An absolute staple in my summer shoe collection is lots of slides & sandals. You know how I just mentioned that I’m a big fan of just throwing on a pair of simple shoes? Yeah, well this is exactly what I’m talking about. As far as I’m concerned, everyone needs a pair of slides & a pair of nice sandals in their collection — they’re so easy to dress up or down!

WEDGES & ESPADRILLES

Remember when going out and seeing your friends was a thing? Yeah, me too… I still cannot believe we’re living through a chapter of a history textbook, anyways I digress — wedges and espadrilles are hands down my go-to summer shoe whenever I need to get a little more dressed up, especially since I’m so short! I love to give myself a little extra height where I can, haha!

SNEAKERS

Honestly, you just cannot go wrong with sneakers at pretty much any time of the year — well, except maybe winter. They look great with tons of outfits, make walking long distances a breeze, and the best part about current trends is that sneakers with a nice dress is not only totally acceptable but extremely trendy!

So, what are your go-to shoes in the summer?! Leave a comment below! Honestly, I think for me it’s gotta be a good pair of slides or sandals, unless I’ve gotta walk a lot and then it’s definitely sneakers. I’m not trying to get any blisters!
