Unboxing the Summer 2021 Jilly Box
Hello everyone & welcome back to the blog, or if this is your first time here, welcome! After taking a couple of weeks off to recoup, get back on track with the content that I’m creating, and prepare for the launch a little something here on the blog, coming very soon, I’m so excited to jump back into things, especially with this blog topic! Who doesn’t love a Jilly Box unboxing!?! (Hint: pretty much everyone does) Well, let’s jump right into the unboxing & find out what’s in the summer 2021 Jilly Box! (If reading blogs isn’t your thing, scroll all the way down to the bottom to find a video version!)
Bath & Body Oil
Elucx
Jumping right into this unboxing, the first product I opened in the box was this Bath & Body Oil from Elucx. I’ve yet to have a chance to try it (since I’m quite literally writing up this blog post moments after opening the actual box), but I opened it up and quickly smelled it, and it smells heavenly. It definitely will be a go-to in my post-shower routine.
Sour Candies
SugarJoy
The next item in the box was a duo package of Sugary candies — the candies included were Sour Watermelon and Sour Peach Lips. Not only are these candies the perfect summer flavours, but how amazing would some summery cocktails be garnished with these candies? Best part is they are gluten free, vegan, free of high fructose corn syrup, GMOs & trans fats.
Overnight Watermelon Mask
Pura Botanicals
Up next is this amazing smelling Watermelon Overnight Mask from Pure Botanicals. Again, I have yet to have a chance to use it since I just opened the box, but the first thing I thought when I saw this product in the box was that it reminded me of the Glow Recipe Watermelon Moisturizer that everyone raves about. Well, the better part about this product? It’s Canadian made! This will be the perfect mask for me mostly in the winter when my skin is dry since it’s ultra-hydrating.
Mascara
Tok Beauty
Onto the next item, which is this Mascara from TOK Beauty. If you’ve been following Jillian for a while, you’ll know that she’s frequently talked about this mascara and how amazing it is. I’ve been wanting to give it a try, but have yet to had a chance to order it, so I’m thrilled that I’m able to give this product a try. I’ll have to do an updated review of it once I’ve given it a shot!
Vegan Makeup Case
Samara
The next item that I unboxed may be one of my absolute favourite products that came in this seasons Jilly Box, and that is the custom Jilly x SAMARA Makeup Case. I was lucky enough a couple of years ago to win a giveaway from The Working Girl with Saje Wellness, where Saje partnered with SAMARA on a pouch that held four essential oil rollers — all of this to say, I’m a big fan of their brand, so when I pulled out this makeup case, I was so excited. I’ve also been on the hunt for a new makeup case for a while, so it was perfect timing.
Road Trip Dress
Jardines Domaine
The next product in this seasons box was the Road Trip Dress from Jardines Domaine (going live for sale on June 10th!) which I’m so obsessed with — more to come on that shortly. This dress came in two colours, white & green, and you had to choose which colour you wanted. Me, being unsurprisingly me, I selected white. Also, in my defense, I have red hair; so when I wear green, sometimes it can look like Christmas. Like I mentioned, I’m obsessed with this dress. The length is great for people both short (me) and tall, and looks amazing on all body types!
Road Trip Bag
Monika Hibbs Home
Ahhhh, the last product in the box (minus the add-on I got though!), and that is the Road Trip Bag from Monika Hibbs Home. Coming in a close second to the SAMARA makeup case is this bag — I have wanted one of these bags, for like… probably a year?! Maybe longer! I can’t wait to use this as an overnight bag for nights at my partners cottage, future road trips, or even as a carry on bag if we’re ever allowed to board a plane again! The tote itself is made of canvas, and the handles are leather. Though I do try to avoid leather, there’s no denying it makes for better straps on a bag.
Add-On Item: One Piece Swimsuit
Imagine Perry
And for the final item in this box, the item that I selected for an add-on this season, the Striped One Piece Swimsuit from Imagine Perry that was designed in collaboration with Jillian. A big selling factor for me with this swimsuit was the fact that it’s made in Canada by a family/woman-owned business, and the suit itself has a UPF of 50+! Pale girls everywhere, these swimsuits are for you! It’s nice and snug but not uncomfortable, however I do highly recommend referencing their size guide or contacting them if you’re unsure of your size. I referenced the size guide and sized up, which ended up being the right size for me.
