Unboxing the Fall 2023 Jilly Box

Guess who’s back? It’s me! It’s been a while… you may (or may not) have noticed that I didn’t end up putting out an unboxing blog for the summer 2023 Jilly Box; well, long and short of it is that the box arrived the day before we left for Europe, so by the time we returned, it felt a little redundant. But digress, we are back to the unboxing blog posts because they’re seriously some of my favourite to write, and it seems like they’re an overall favourite of yours too! So, let’s jump into this box (it’s a good one!).

Grocery Notepad

Jess' Paper Co.

Starting off with the grocery notepad from Jess’ Paper Co.! This little notepad is just so cute and I love the design of it, but I will be the first to admit, I am loyal to my Notepad app on my phone for grocery shopping since it’s the easiest for me, so I think I might be passing this one onto someone else who will get more use out of it.

Lip Karma

Sahajan

Next up is the lip karma lip balm from Sahajan. This was a this-or-that item, with the potential of getting vanilla, coconut or chai flavoured. Though all of these options are great and I would enjoy any of them, I really wanted the chai flavour – luckily for me, this is the one I got! I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I know this will always be on me during the cool months when my lips start to get dry.

Mushroom Necklace

Sugar Blossom Jewelry

Next up in the fall Jilly Box is another this-or-that item – the mushroom or beet necklace from Sugar Blossom Jewelry. I personally am a mushroom girl, but both of these necklaces were so cute, so I didn't care which one I got. Ultimately, I ended up receiving the mushroom one (yay!), and plan to wear it all the time, stacked with my JH x Melanie Auld adorned necklace!

Heart Wooden Spoon

The Cross Decor & Design

Onto the next item, which is the cutest heart wooden spoon from The Cross Decor & Design, which funny enough, I actually already had from the Fraiche Food Full Hearts launch back in 2019, and I still use regularly to this day! I’ll be keeping this spoon on hand in case my original one ever bites the dust.

Pinch Bowl

TAV Ceramics

The next item in the box is this adorable pinch bowl from TAV Ceramics! I do however, already have a pinch bowl that I love in my kitchen, so I plan to keep this bowl as more of a ramekin to use for yogurt or on a charcuterie board.

Flakey Salt

Vancouver Island Sea Salt

Going hand-in-hand with the pinch bowl is this delicious flakey salt from Vancouver Island Sea Salt! If you haven’t had flakey sea salt before, you are seriously missing out. I actually recently just made the chocolate chip cookie recipe from Fraiche Food Full Hearts and sprinkled flakey salt on them and they were delicious. You can never have too much if you ask me!

Okay, this item might be one of my top three that I was most excited for in this box, and that is the napkin & table runner set from Bluum Maison. I’m obsessed with the warm cinnamon-brown colour of this set, and I instantly put the table runner on my table because duh, look at it! It’s a bit long for my dining table but that’s nothing a few pieces of tape can’t fix.

Dinner Bell

Monika Hibbs Home

I have to admit, when I first saw a potential rumour that this dinner bell from Monika Hibbs Home was going to be in the box, I thought there was no way, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was true! I instantly hung up this little bell as decoration in our kitchen, since honestly, I won’t need it for anything more than decor given our small space!

Grace Midi Dress

Mad About Style

Last, but certainly not least (before the add-on I got!), is the Grace Midi Dress from Mad About Style! This was the last this-or-that product that was in the box, with a potential of getting one of four prints. I ended up receiving the plain pink, which quite honestly, was the one I wanted the least. I do wish that there was an option to select between pinks or neutrals so we could’ve narrowed down a colour that you would’ve preferred, so I’m very much hoping I’ll be able to snag the vintage floral (the dark floral) pattern. If I can’t, I think I may attempt dying the pink one to a chocolate brown! Regardless, I plan to wear this dress to Thanksgiving this year for sure, and I cannot wait!

And for the one and only add-on I got for this box, the Hair Accessories Kit from Chelsea King! I have always loved Chelsea King since I first discovered the brand from Jillian many years ago, and I have accumulated quite the collection of scrunchies, but what really made me want this kit was the hair bow! I cannot wait to wear this bow with my dress for Thanksgiving this year, everything about it is so adorable and perfect!

So what do you think of this box?! I genuinely think this might be one of the best boxes there’s been in a while and I cannot wait to use all of these items heading into the start of the holiday-season time of year!
