Festive Eggnog & Espresso Martini
It’s the holiday season, and I don’t know about you but one of my absolute favourite things about the holidays is trying out all of the indulgent holiday cocktails! There’s no denying that espresso martini’s have been extremely popular the last couple of years, and there’s nothing more “holiday cocktail” than a rum & eggnog, am I right? Well, I decided let’s try to make an eggnog and espresso martini! The results were insanely delicious, in my humble opinion, and I feel the need to share it with you today.
There’s absolutely no need to have this cocktail in a fancy glass, but if you ask me, drinking from a really cute glass is not only a part of the experience, but it also just makes the drink taste even better! Why not enjoy it in a beautiful piece of glassware? Here are some of my favourite coupe glasses, and of course, I had to include the iconic Anthropologie juice glasses because they just come in so many styles, there’s something for everyone!
Eggnog & Espresso Martini
Yields 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Espresso
- 1.5 ounce Dark Rum
- 4 ounces of Eggnog
- 1/4 tsp of Vanilla Extract
- Dash of Cinnamon, plus a pinch more for garnish
- Coffee beans, for garnish
- Ice, for cocktail shaker
Directions
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker, shaking vigarously until well combined and frothy. Strain into your glass of choice.
- Dust with a thin layer of cinnamon or ground nutmeg and top with a coffee bean (or three!).
I hope that you enjoyed this cocktail! If you gave it a try, let me know your thoughts in the comments below – personally, this is now my go-to drink (alongside my eggnog & peppermint vodka cocktail; if you haven’t tried that… what are you waiting for?)
