How to Add Spring to Your Home Decor

I know we’re all feeling it – we’re all desperately itching for spring, warmer weather, flowers and my personal favourite, opening the windows & letting in the fresh, clean spring air. That being said, there’s still snow on the ground… and it’s still coming down. Spring is a little ways away, but there’s always something about March that makes me yearn for the spring weather a little harder. Maybe because it’s coming so soon (yet still is so far, ugh)? So, what are some fun, and easy ways to add some spring-feeling to your home decor without getting too ahead of ourselves? Well, I want to share with you how I like to exactly that!

Fresh Flowers

The first place I like to start is with some fresh flowers, even just from the grocery store. I’ve definitely talked about this in other blogs before, but I just love having fresh cut flowers (especially roses, tulips or peonies!) in my space to not only bring some freshness & spring-vibes to the room, but also, it just cheers me up. Never underestimate the power that giving someone a bouquet of flowers can do!

Add Spring Colours To Your Home

From simple things like tea towels, hand towels in the bathroom, pillow covers & even the sheets on your bed – adding some spring colours like soft pink, baby blue, sage green or muted yellow will definitely give a more spring-like vibe to the spaces of your home.

Change Your Bed!

Like I mentioned above, changing your sheets to a nice spring colour definitely helps, but you know what else does too? Changing your bed back to your spring/summer bedding. Put away your flannel sheets & duvet cover (me, speaking to myself here!), and put on your light sheets. If it’s too cold where you live still, maybe hold off another few weeks, but once you can, do it! It’ll start to feel more and more like spring (and even summer!) is coming.

Eat More Fruit (& Other Healthy Foods)

This one may be a bit easier said than done, but eating lots of healthy foods, but especially fruits & smoothie bowls really make it start to feel like the spring is coming. Heavy, comfort-foods are definitely more a winter go-to for me, for well, obvious reasons – I live in a colder climate during the winter & I want baked mac and cheese to help me get through it! I always know when spring is coming when I start to crave salads, smoothies & fresh fruit for a snack.

Is there anything you love to do in your home to bring the spring-vibes a little sooner than spring is ready to arrive? If so, drop your tips in the comments below because I’d love to hear them & find new ways to add even more spring love to my home.
