How To Set a Simple Easter Tablescape

If you’re anything like me, you love the idea of hosting, but maybe you aren’t 100% sure where to start when it comes to setting a beautiful table scape for a holiday dinner? Or maybe it’s your first time hosting, and you want to really wow your guests. If you’re looking for some simple ways to spruce up your dining table for a festive Easter table scape that’s equal parts beautiful & functional, this blog is for you.

Let’s Set The Table

No matter how many guests I plan to have, whether it’s 2 or 10, I still want to be able to engage in conversation together, see everyone at the table (duh!) & enjoy each other’s company! To keep it simple, I love to use our everyday rattan placemats (with hearts on it!) and blush pink dinner plates from Dine With Fable, and placed the cutest little bunny salad plate to really add a touch of Easter festivity & cuteness.

Next comes my favourite gold Clio Flatware from The Cross Decor & Design to add a little something special & compliment the gold rim on the salad plates. Lastly, I like to pull out my favourite Easter napkin rings — burlap bunny ears — that I purchased from Pier 1 about four years ago, just waiting for my chance to use them, threw a simple white napkin into them, and placed it on top of the salad plate.

Of course, you can’t forget the most crucial instrument to enjoy the evenings dinner — a big wine glass! And of course, a regular water glass too. You always want to stay nice & hydrated, especially when enjoying a big, festive dinner.

Finishing Touches

Now that the table itself is set, I like to add a couple of extra things to really bring the Easter feeling to life with a bunch of faux carrots, fake chocolate bunnies (do yourself & your guests a favour and get real ones too!), faux eggs on top of the salad plates in complimentary colours to my dishes, a big bouquet of fresh spring flowers and of course, a good bottle of rosé to enjoy with dinner for the evening. One could argue that the rosé shouldn’t count as a finishing touch, but as far as I’m concerned, some of those bottles are just downright beautiful & deserve their moment!

Well there you have it! This is how I’ll be setting up my dining table for a festive, but simplistic evening to enjoy my Easter dinner with my partner. I hope you enjoyed this blog post & don’t forget I post every week, three times a week, so come back on Monday for a brand new blog!

Until next time, Emily
