How To Shop All of My Favourite Things
I am the first to admit, I’m a bit of a shopping addict. I like to spend money on clothes, home decor, accessories - you name it, I probably like buying it. And what goes with that is a lot of trial and error on what items are worth the money, and which aren’t, which therefore also kind of makes me a bad influence on other peoples bank accounts too - sorry! Some of you may or may not know that I have an account on LikeToKnow.it. For those who don’t know, it’s a platform for content creators, where we can post all of our favourite things and make a little bit of money on it when you purchase it. Before you worry about if you’re going to pay more - no, I promise you don’t! You may have also noticed in some of my blogs that there is a carousel under the images with links to the items in the photos - well, that’s also through LikeToKnow.it!
So, you might be wondering, why on earth should I download the LikeToKnow.it app? Not only can you shop all of my favourite items there, you can also follow along with tons of other creators of all following sizes (and dress sizes too!). It’s got a very similar vibe to Instagram, as it’s filled with tons of beautiful photos, but the images & videos are completely shoppable, and linked either with the items in the photo, or similar ones if the exact ones are no longer available. You always want to download the app because tons of creators, myself included, create exclusive content for the app, and if you like to read my blog posts, you’ll sometimes get an early sneak peek at what’s to come soon to the blog.
How To Use The LikeToKnow.it App
1. Start by downloading the app onto your iPhone (Apple App Store) or Android Device (Google Play).
2. Once downloaded, follow the instructions to create yourself an account.
3. Follow me & your other favourite creators!
4. Tap on any of the photos or videos on my LikeToKnow.it page, and you’ll instantly see beneath the photo are all of the items that are linked for you to shop.
5. Tap on any of the items that are linked in the photo & you’ll get the option to Share, Favourite, Add To a Collection or Shop the item right there in the app.
* When selecting “Share”, this gives you the option to send a specific item to a family member or friend. Maybe a hint for a future birthday gift?
* When selecting “Favourite”, it does exactly that - favourites that item & keeps it collected in a Favourites Folder on your account within the app.
* When selecting “+ Collection”, the app gives you the option to create your own custom folders to store your favourite items in (ex. Home Decor, Sweaters).
* By selecting “Shop Now”, you will be redirected to the website linked to make a purchase. For my fellow Canadians, please be sure to check you are on the Canadian website! Sometimes, we don’t have the option & have to link to the American website, but you can still access the Canadian one.
How To Shop Through Instagram
Once you’ve downloaded and started following me and your other favourite bloggers on the LikeToKnow.it app, you can easily shop with Instagram too! Anytime you see an image on My Instagram, or any other blogger using the LikeToKnow.it platform, with the logo watermarked on the bottom right corner (in either black or white), you can shop that image by simply liking it, or screenshotting it (this requires permissions in the app to be turned on). If you don’t happen to see the watermark in the corner, but see the tell-tale signs of a LikeToKnow.it image with hashtags like #ltkhome, #ltkstyletip, etc & a LikeToKnow.it link in the caption, you can still like & screenshot these images to shop them in the app too!
