It’s Time to Get Your Wardrobe Spring Ready!
I know it’s only January, and the sweet, sweet embrace of spring’s warmer weather, hours of sunshine and birds chirping feels like it’s still forever away, but before we know it, April showers will bring those May flowers, and we’ll be praying for a break from the intense heat and standing in front of our air conditioner for hours on end (no one else? Just me?). All of this to say, spring is truly just around the corner, and I’m counting down the days until I can pull out all of my sundresses, overalls and sandals. Here are a few things that are must-haves in my spring wardrobe this season!

Sundresses
In 2023, I decided that this was going to be the year that I fully leaned into wearing more sundresses than ever before, and the fact that most of my closet is filled with dresses in the spring & summer makes me feel like I fully accomplished this! I love to have lots of varieties of styles, colours & lengths in my closet, because let’s be honest; sundresses can make for a perfect outfit for so many occasions – a visit to the farmers market, a casual outing or even a wedding guest dress.
Tops & Bottoms
Now, just because I fully leaned into the sundress last year, doesn’t mean that I forgot about a classic oversized shirt & shorts combo, or better yet – overalls! I absolutely obsess over overalls every spring & summer. Not only do they just look so cute with a plain white t-shirt, they are so easy to style & look like a complete outfit. Add in a sunhat, sneakers, light cardigan and some jewelry, and you’ve got a cute springtime look. Or, pair with some rubber boots for the garden!
Footwear & Accessories
I’m a big believer in footwear and accessories completing a look, especially in the spring when we’re not all wrapped up in our puffer coats (though cute, my goal is primarily to stay warm, okay?!), and I feel like my effort can truly be seen by all. My all time favourite spring (and summer) accessory is a straw market tote. They’re perfect to bring to the farmers market, or just even out shopping, especially if you get one that has a top zipper.
