My January Favourites

Hello everyone & happy last day of January! I mentioned in my last blog post that I was going to be introducing a new blog series, and today is the day. As you can see by the title, this new series is… my monthly favourites! I figured this would be a great new series to kick off the new year with, and let’s me share my favourite things with all of you. I also provide all of the links to these items so if you feel like something would be great for you, you can get a direct link to check it out rather than going on a wild goose chase across the internet. Without further ado, let’s get started!:

Eye Cream

Did you know that the collagen in your skin starts breaking down in your mid-twenties? Well, you do now! Your skin actually starts the aging process that soon, which means it’s time to start using anti-aging products if that is something that is important to you. An eye cream is the perfect example of anti-aging products you should start using sooner than later, and the one that I’m currently obsessing over is the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Crème. If you checked out my previous post all about My Skincare Routine, you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of OLEHENRIKSEN’s products because they not only work unbelievably well with my skin, but are also apart of the Clean at Sephora collection, which means the products contain less than 1% of synthetic ingredients (more information on the Clean at Sephora collection here). Not to mention, this eye cream smells like roasted banana!

Facial Roller

To go along with the theme of skincare, I’m also currently rediscovering my obsession with my Jade Facial Roller. Though I mainly use this when I’m applying moisturizers, and my eye cream as part of my skincare routine, I also really like to use the facial roller whenever my face, or parts of my face, are looking a little on the puffy side. Whenever I use it, it feels like a gentle massage, and it’s particularly nice at night before bed!

iPhone Charging Case

Apple iPhone XS Max Smart Battery Charging Case

Switching gears to some tech goodies! If you don’t know me, you wouldn’t know that I’m a big Apple fangirl. Like, I’m talking I watch every keynote presentation they put on, and nerd out over the new hardware & software updates they make every year. I’m pretty sure one reason I love the fall so much is to see the new iPhones & to finally get to update to the newest operating system! However, if you already did know this about me, you’ll know why the Apple Smart Battery Case is on my list. I’m definitely a heavy phone user - I am a millennial after all - and I can burn through my phones battery faster than I’d like to admit. But this case provides me with more than enough daily battery. I’d say it provides approximately 75% of your phones battery worth of extra juice, and sometimes I don’t even have to charge my phone every night! I highly recommend this case* for anyone who feels like they just don’t have enough battery in their iPhone.

* Available in iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X/XS, iPhone XS Max & iPhone 7.

My Favourite Comfy Outfit

Aerie Cloud Sherpa Oversized Pullover & High-Waisted 7/8 Leggings

I am the first to admit that the moment I get home from work, provided that I don’t have to go anywhere, the first thing I do is take off my make up & change into some comfy clothes. My favourite place to get my comfy clothes is Aerie. Everything is so soft, well made & super affordable, especially since they almost always have a sale going on. My favourite things to throw on from Aerie when I get home is the Cloud Sherpa Oversized Pullover & the Move High-Waisted 7/8 Leggings. Firstly, cloud is the perfect word to use to describe what wearing that sherpa sweater is like. And secondly, best. leggings. EVER. I seriously like these ones way more than Lululemon. They’re comfortable, but so fitted, I can’t even begin to describe how amazing these leggings are. Just trust me & buy yourself a pair, you won’t regret it.

The Softest Throw Blanket

And we’re at the final product for my January favourites! I saved a good one for last. I got the Urban Outfitters Amped Fleece Throw Blanket as a Christmas gift this year, and I’ve got to tell you, I think it’s the coziest, warmest, softest blanket I’ve ever owned. I have a very cold bedroom, and I’m honestly just usually cold throughout the winter and this blanket is no joke when it comes to keeping warm. It’s almost like it traps the heat from your body, keeping you extra toasty! And not to mention is the softest thing ever - it’s basically the Aerie sherpa sweater I just talked about, but as a blanket. It’s definitely a little on the pricey side, so maybe do what I did, and ask for it as a gift if you’ve got an upcoming birthday!

Well, that’s it for my first monthly favourites blog! What did you guys think? I sure hope you liked it as much as I liked writing it. Anything you think you may potentially be purchasing? Leave me a comment below if you are. See you again on Friday for my first post of February! Xo.
