Lifestyle Bloggers Worth Following

Blogging — over the last few years, it’s really taken off. You’ve got some bloggers who’ve been doing it for 5+ years (maybe even 10+ years!), and some who are just getting started, myself included! There’s a ton of blogs out there on various topics, but today I wanted to share with you all of the lifestyle bloggers that I often find myself gravitating towards and really engaging in their content. If you like my blog, I’d assume that these bloggers would also speak to you. Let’s jump into it:

Jillian Harris

No doubt you probably assumed we’d start off strong with my favourite blogger, ever, Jillian Harris. If you find your way to my blog, I’m guessing you’re more than likely a Jilly fan too, since my blog is very heavily inspired by her, so the reasons why I love her will probably not come as a shock to you. One thing I’ve always admired about Jillian is how caring she is - and particularly about the environment & her community - my love of small businesses stemmed from her talking about why it was important we support them & the rest is history. I could list off multiple reasons she’s worth following, but you’d be here all day!

Tori Wesszer

This name is definitely familiar to you if you’re a fan of Jillian’s, but Tori (aka, Fraiche Living) has the same kind of relatable presence about her that her cousin Jillian does on her social media, which I love so much about her, but the main reason I’m adding her to this specific list is that I love looking to Tori’s blogs for inspiration on healthy & nutritious meals to create. She has so many delicious recipes that I’ve tried, and I’ve always admired her approach of “everything in moderation”, which is what I think we all need to hear more of.

Emma Courtney

I came across Emma on Instagram, I believe a couple of years ago now, and instantly fell in love with the style of her photos. If you’re also a fan of Jillian and Tori, I feel like Emma’s brand is very much a combination of the two — she features tons of amazing recipes for cakes, decor inspiration & has recently started a YouTube channel where she’s documenting the decorating and renovations of her & her partner’s new home together! I can also speak to how kind of person Emma is, as since we connected online, I’ve had the opportunity to chat with her about tons of things, and she was even nice enough to pick up a Jilly Jacket 2.0 for me in case I couldn’t get one online.

Cynspo

Another blogger who I’ve had the opportunity to get to know online is Cynspo! We connected on Instagram about 2 years ago or so, and her and I have become very good online-friends, and I can speak to how genuine a person she is. Though she talks about tons of categories on her blog, including wellness, beauty, home, and other lifestyle topics, my favourite thing that she’s recently introduced is her growth category, talking about life in your twenties and learning to love yourself. After the rough year we’ve all faced in 2020, and 2021 probably not going to be all that much better, I think this is a category we all need to take a look at and reflect on.

Yogini Taylor

Another wonderful connection that I’ve made online is with Taylor of Yogini Taylor. If you don’t know this about me already, I actually quite enjoy yoga, and I believe this is how I came across her Instagram profile and started following her (she also has the cutest pup named Shiloh!). Her blog features posts about the time she spent traveling (and since we can’t travel right now, I live through her travel blogs!), local places to eat in Vancouver, tips for yoga (for beginners too!), but my personal favourite blog of hers is 5 Free Ways To De-Stress, which let’s be honest, I think we could all use those tips lately.

There are so many other bloggers out there that I can think of who I love, but if I was to write them all down, we’d be here until 2022! Okay, wait, maybe that’s not such a bad thing? Haha. Before I continue on with this sign off, I will be the first to admit, there is no representation of any BIPOC on this list, and I am the first to admit, I’ve got a lot of exploring in the blogging community to do, and I’m really disappointed in myself for not having any representation on this list. When I was thinking of my favourite bloggers, the first thing I noticed is the lack of colour… BIPOC bloggers are out there, and I want to support them.

If you know of any BIPOC creators who you think I’d love, please share their website in the comments below. I’m always open to finding new content & inspiration, and I definitely want to see this list become more diverse too.

Thank you all, and see you again next week for a new blog post.
