My Favourite Halloween Home Decor for 2024

Happy September all! The ‘ber months have finally graced us with their presence, the air has a slight chill, apples are ready to be picked, and pumpkin flavoured everything is everywhere. The entrance into the autumn season is truly my favourite time of the year as we all get excited for what I consider to be some of the best holidays of the year – Thanksgiving & Halloween! Spooky season feels like a far off thought, but every year, the decor hits the shelves sooner & sooner, so it’s time to start thinking about anything you want to add to your collection!

If you have checked out my blogs before, or follow me on Instagram, it’s probably no secret that I’m a sucker for a more neutral palette when it comes to decorating (though I will say I am definitely expanding into bringing more colour in, overall!), and seasonal holidays are no exception. I’m definitely not someone that likes to work the traditional bright orange, green or purple into my Halloween decor, and I’m not even really someone that loves the trendy hot pink and bright orange either. I’m so glad to see decor expanding beyond the typical 90’s bright colours that I remember from growing up, and there’s truly something for everyone.

I like to stick to a somewhat loose theme, or vibe when it comes to my halloween decor – primarily witchy, ghosts, bats, the occasional crow & spiders. You’ll probably notice there’s not really any overly scary, spooky or typically gross Halloween decor amongst my collection, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is definitely not the blog for you! If you’re wanting something a little more timeless, simple and classic, I hope this blog is able to serve as a little bit of inspiration for your decorating this year.

If you’re on the hunt for some pieces that fall into the themes that I like to decorate with, here are a few of my favourite things that I’ve come across this season:

GHOSTS

SPOOKY SEASON, WITCHY & MAGICAL

BATS & SPIDERS

I hope this blog brought you tons of inspiration for the upcoming spooky season! Now, of course, at the end of the day, I always believe it’s best to use what you have first, but if you’re just starting to put together a collection, here’s hoping this blog provided you with a few classic pieces that will stand the test of time, and many Halloween seasons.

Until next time, Emily
