New Year, New Routines!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! It’s 2022, and I just have an amazing feeling about this upcoming year — I just feel deep down like it’s going to be an amazing year, and I’m heading into 2022 with a positive and open mindset for all things that come my way (especially since I’m getting married this year!!!). That being said, I know for myself, that to get to that positive mindset, I have to set myself up for it, and what better way to start 2022 than with some new routines that I’m sure will not only make me happier, but make life just that little bit easier too.
01. WAKING UP EARLIER
I know deep down in my heart & soul that when I used to get up between 5:30 and 6:30 everyday (I’m talking pre-pandemic here), that I was really setting myself up for success, and I’ve definitely fallen into a slump of constantly sleeping (hello, pandemic depression), sleeping in late & just generally not wanting to get out of bed, so I’m going to make a conscious effort this year to start waking up early again.
02. SETTING POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS EACH MORNING
In December, I was so kindly gifted the Love Powered Femme Box Set from Love Powered Co., and as much as I started to use it in December, I knew when I got it that I really wanted to start putting it to use in the New Year to start my days off in a more positive mindset. I’m starting by challenging myself to pull a card each day in January & to set my intentions for that day with whatever card I get!
03. TAKE TIME TO ENJOY MY WALKS WITH FREDDIE
I must admit that I’ve already gotten a kick start on this one. While I was off for the holidays, we took Freddie to some local trails to get him out and about a bit more, and have both him and us explore some new places, and to say that I loved it is an understatement. There’s something so magical about walking through a forested trail area while the snow falls… I can’t wait to do a walk like this with him every week!
04. DRINK MORE WATER
Yeah, yeah this one is on just about everyone’s list, isn’t it? There’s always the thought of “exercise more” and “eat healthier” at the top of mind when a new year begins, but drinking my daily intake of water is one thing that I used to be really on the ball with, so I’m hoping that with the help of my gorgeous new Starbucks water cup and SodaStream that I was gifted for Christmas, water intake will become no problem once again.
