Time To Get Your Wardrobe Spring-Ready
Spring is here! Well, almost… It’s only 24 days away now, and it’s time to get your wardrobe ready for the warmer weather. Though I’m not exactly the biggest fan of super hot summer weather, watching the grass get greener, the sun stay out longer & of course, the garden centres starting to open — I’m just so excited for some nice, comfortable warm spring sunshine!
I think one of my favourite things about spring, and springtime fashion is the ability to layer, but with lighter pieces in comparison to layering in the fall. From September through November, my version of layering usually includes socks, scarves, a big cozy sweater & some leggings, but in the spring it’s all about sundresses, denim jackets & sunhats. So let’s talk about some of my favourite pieces that I’ve come across for this spring!

Sundresses
In 2022, I am calling it now — this is going to be the year that I live in sundresses. Honestly, I’m not really sure why I haven’t before. I’m usually such a leggings/pants and rompers girl, I guess I just never gravitate towards sundresses, skirts or even shorts during the warmer weather! That being said, I just got the cutest sundress from H&M that I cannot wait to rock this spring & summer.
Denim
Denim is truly such a great fabric for literally anytime of the year - spring, summer, fall, winter - it doesn’t matter, there’s pretty much always something to wear denim with. But this spring, I’m desperate to get my hands on a pair of denim overalls. I think about how cute it’d look with a flutter sleeve t-shirt underneath and it just gets me so excited for spring & farmers markets again!
Shoes
I feel like in 2021, I became really obsessed with the espadrille style shoe. They’re so cute and I feel like can easily be styled dressed up or down, and have the potential to be super comfortable, should you find the right pair. I’m still on the hunt for a closed toe version that I love, but my open toe espadrilles are my go-to dressy sandal for spring.
Accessories
I am such a sucker for a good accessory! I feel like it can really bring an outfit to life and make it more than just a basic, everyday look. For spring, some of my favourite accessories include hats (I’m a big fan of a sunhat, personally!), sunglasses & of course, a beautiful market tote.
I am so excited to start wearing sundresses and more light fabrics again! I love a good cozy sweater, don’t get me wrong, but there’s nothing quite like the start of the spring season when the air is warming up, the garden centres open & sundresses make their return.
