Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Her
I’m not sure about anyone else, but this feels like the first time in a long time that January has felt like a whirlwind of a month and has flown by in the process. Normally, January feels like a never ending month of freezing temperatures (it was sure to deliver those -30°C winds…), but I looked at the calendar the other day and noticed it was just over two weeks until Valentine’s Day! Next thing I know, it’ll be Easter. But, before I get ahead of myself, let’s talk about gift ideas for this loveliest holiday of the year:
1. Round Dutch Oven | 2. Instant Recovery Serum | 3. Fraiche Food Full Hearts | 4. Champagne Truffles | 5. Mug | 6. Earrings | 7. Wooden Heart Board | 8. Belt Bag | 9. Air Dry Cream | 10. Scalp Oil | 11. Perfume | 12. Socks
Clothing & Accessories
So we’re two years, entering three into a pandemic, and I think it’s safe to say that a vast majority of my closet is comfy clothing pieces like rompers, cozy sweaters, leggings and fuzzy socks (not that I’m complaining!). But, I’m ready to start building back up pieces in my wardrobe that are for going out as I wishfully think that 2022 could finally be the year that this pandemic ends. One thing I’ve come to love is using a belt bag over a purse since it’s hands free, and feels much safer since I can see it. Of course, I don’t want to completely transition away from the comfy clothes, so gifting some cozy socks are another great option!
Of course, it’s Valentine’s Day after all, so if none of the above options are jumping out at you, you can’t go wrong with purchasing some jewelry that your Valentine will love. My personal suggestion is to go for something that won’t get damaged easily such as a necklace (this one can be customized) or earrings.
Beauty & Hair
I’ve decided that 2022 is going to be all about having healthy, gorgeous hair; and my recent obsession has been the JVN Hair products from none other than Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness. I fell in love with their hair products after trying out the Air Dry Cream (which is great for all hair types), and then instantly went out to purchase the Instant Recovery Serum, and picked up the Pre-Wash Scalp Oil as well! If your Valentine is all about JVN or haircare as well, I highly recommend these products*!
* Please note, the products do have a strong fragrance to them, so I would not suggest this product for those who are sensitive to fragrance.
Kitchen
Ahhh, my favourite spot in our home (besides my couch, while I’m all wrapped up in my fuzzy blanket like a little burrito on a cold winter’s day) — the kitchen! I absolutely love cooking, and I’ve slowly been collecting some higher quality utensils and cookware when, and where I can but I’ve got to say, my number one want is this gorgeous Le Crueset round dutch oven in white with the gold hardware! It’s beautiful & high quality — what more could you want?!
If you’re wanting to find a more affordable option for your Valentine, or you’re looking for the perfect compliment to a new piece of cookware, I highly recommend checking out the Fraiche Food Full Hearts cookbook by Jillian Harris & Tori Wesszer, especially if you’re interested in implementing more plant-based meals into your diet but aren’t sure where to start.
I know I said this at the beginning of this blog, but I seriously cannot wrap my head around the fact that we’re almost in February… January, where did you go!? Anyways, don’t forget to send this blog to your partner if there’s something you’re looking for on it, and check out more of my Valentine’s Day finds here!
