What I Gifted This Holiday Season

Can you believe today is not only the last day of 2019, but of this DECADE?! Tomorrow is going to be 2020, and it is absolutely insane to me how quickly life flashes before your eyes.

Like I mentioned in my blog post from Friday (and as you can see from the title), today’s post is going to show you all of the items that I gifted to others this holiday season. I buy for a pretty large amount of people - my parents, grandparents, boyfriend’s parents & grandparents, cousins, aunt & uncle, and normally my boyfriend but this year we decided not to give Christmas presents because we may or may not be going somewhere together soon… more on that to come later in the New Year. But back to the topic at hand - I buy for a lot of people, so if you look below you may be wondering why the photo seems to be so small & not full of a ton of photos. Well, that’s because it’s 2019, and a lot of people on my list received gift cards from me this year, haha. So today, I’m going to show you all of the physical gifts I gave, and I’ll give an honourable mention at the end to the gift cards that I bought - so let’s get into it:

What I Gifted Loved Ones for Christmas 2019

Summertime pasta salad

Yeti 20oz Tumbler | 8. BBxCollection Feed Me Tacos Shirt | 9. BBxCollection Active Cardio is Hardio Tank

1. Sadie & June Australia Embroidered Heart Print: My not-so-little little cousin returned from a year (and a bit) abroad in Australia this Christmas, so when I discovered Sadie & June, and their endless amount of maps with hand embroidered hearts stitched over countries, and cities, I knew I had to find one of Australia to gift him. Another fantastic thing about purchasing from Sadie & June, is that you’re supporting a small Canadian business! Of course you knew I had to shop small this holiday season, right?! (Hint: it doesn’t end there). Sadie & June has a never-ending amount of options to choose from, including different colours of maps, frames, sizes of prints and even their Connecting Hearts collections that showcase two cities with the hand embroidered hearts over them. These maps make a very heartfelt, sweet gift for any time of the year.

2. Popsocket: This gift goes hand-in-hand with the third gift on here, but I got my mom a swappable-top Popsocket so she would be able to put her phone on the wireless charger without having to completely remove her phone case. It also allows her to change up the Popsocket on her case if she’s getting a little bored of it, rather than be stuck with the one she’s put on.

3. Wireless Charger: Like I mentioned above, I also got my mom a wireless charger along with the Popsocket. She’s pretty bad at forgetting to plug her phone in at night, so I figured it’s time I get her a wireless charger so all she has to do is throw it on the bedside table & forget about it!

4. BBxCollection Be Anything Shirt: For my other cousin, I decided to get her something from BBxCollection. If you knew her, you’d know a shirt that says In A World Where You Can Be Anything, Don’t Be An Asshole is so her, it’s almost unbelievable, haha. Of course, we all know how much I love BBxCollection from my previous blog post: BBxCollection: Small Business Spotlight (if you haven’t read it, you should definitely check it out!), but I’m also lucky enough to be a brand ambassador too. If you like any of the shirts you see in this post, use code EMILY15 to save 15% on your order!

5. Laura Secord Chocolates: For my boyfriend’s grandparents this year, I opted to go with the classic Christmas present of a box of nice chocolates. Funny enough, I actually purchased Purdy’s chocolates for them, but I can’t seem to find the ones I got them on the website, so instead I decided to link you to something similar to what I got them!

6. BBxCollection May Contain Wine Shirt: The second of four BBxCollection shirts I’m gifting this holiday season is a May Contain Wine shirt for my aunt who is very much into wine! It seemed like the absolute perfect thing to get her since she loves wine so much.

7. Yeti 20oz Tumbler: For my uncle, I overheard at Thanksgiving dinner that he didn’t have a great travel mug, so I decided to get him a Yeti mug for Christmas this year. I have this one myself, and I gave my boyfriend the 30oz version last year and we both love them. This is a great gift for people who are looking for a good quality mug to keep their coffee hot on the go. This mug being reusable is a great way to reduce waste!

8. BBxCollection Feed Me Tacos Shirt: I’m totally that person that loves giving little gifts to my coworkers, so of course I had to always get them each their own BBxCollection shirts. The first one I got is so perfect for my coworker if you knew her. She’s all about the taco life, so the Feed Me Tacos & Tell Me You Love Me shirt was a no-brainer for her!

9. BBxCollection Active Cardio is Hardio Tank: The last gift that I got (that isn’t a gift card) is also the last of the BBxCollection pieces I am gifting this year. For my other coworker, who is super into health & fitness, but no so into the cardio portion of fitness, I got her the Cardio is Hardio workout tank!

10. All of the Gift Cards: And like I mentioned above, here is a little honorable mention to all of the stores that I picked up gift cards to gift this holiday season - Canadian Tire, Amazon, the local liquor store (it wouldn’t be the holidays without one of those, right?) & Starbucks. Pretty standard gift cards, if you ask me!

Well, that’s my entire list of the things I gifted this holiday season! Leave a comment below about what your favourite things that you gifted was, and I hope everyone had an amazing holiday, no matter what you celebrate. Have a safe, and Happy New Year & I’ll see you again in 2020!!
