Easter Home Decor That I’m Loving

Believe it or not, Easter is almost here… like only 27 days away! As always, I feel like the new year is just flying by, each year going faster than the last, and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it, so I may as well be excited, right?! Honestly, I’ll take just about any excuse to brighten up my space with new colours and of course, decorate with bunnies! There’s just something so darn sweet about bunnies, what can I say? Well, without further ado, let’s chat all things Easter home decor so I can share all of the things that I’m loving this year with you!

I don’t know about you, but I will take just about any excuse to welcome spring into my home decor, and even more so if cute little bunnies are involved! Honestly, if you don’t love bunnies… I don’t think we can be friends; they’re just the cutest things. When I’m decorating for Easter, I love to really lean into the pastels alongside my tried and true neutrals — like adding a subtle pop of colour that goes with my current decor! This is actually how I like to decorate for just about any holiday because it’s easy to add and take away without making your home so many different colours; but that’s just my personal preference.

The two main spaces that I like to decorate in my home are primarily the living room, and the kitchen & dining rooms. Though we don’t have a big enough space to host our families for holiday dinners yet, I do dream of doing that one day… but for now, I just decorate! Maybe I’ll even cook us a little Easter dinner for just the two of us, but that’s a bridge I’ll cross as we get even closer to the holiday.

If you’re also looking to add a little Easter & spring feel to these spaces in your home, but want to do it affordably, try adding some Easter-themed salad plates to your usual dining set up, or try serving a portion of your dinner in a bunny serving bowl, because honestly… why not?! Another thing I know my family loves to do is fill up a glass hurricane with faux eggs and put a candle in the middle (just make sure you put the candle in first)!

In the living room, one of my personal favourite ways to decorate for just about any holiday is by adding holiday-themed pillows to our couch (much to my husband’s dismay…), and when I saw this bunny lumbar pillow from Pottery Barn, I just about screamed. Though I can’t personally justify it right now, I’m hoping one of you will buy it and send me photos of just how cute it is in your home!

This year, I also decided to take on the popular dollar store terracotta pumpkin craft that was popular this past Halloween and try it out on a ceramic bunny from the dollar store, and I am thrilled with the results (check out the reel on how to make it here)! If DIY-ing isn’t really your thing, Pottery Barn also has these super cute larger terracotta bunnies for displaying around your home.

I am truly so excited for Easter, it’s just such a cute & happy holiday, plus I can’t wait for another excuse for a lovely family dinner. That all being said, how are we already half way through March?! Time is flying, and before you know it, you’ll be reading all about our European honeymoon… but not quite yet! 😉

Until next time, Emily
