Styling the Sunrise Dresses for Summer
With summer coming to an end in only a matter of a few weeks, it’s time to take advantage of the rest of that heat of the season and wear out all of our cute shorts, tank tops, sandals and most importantly, dresses (at least, in my opinion, that’s the most important!). If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you might not have seen that I got my hands on not one, but two of the Jillian Harris x Smash + Tess Sunrise Dresses, one mini, and one midi, both in sky blue. My original intention was to just get the midi for a wedding I’m attending later this month, but I loved the way it fit so much, I got the mini as well! So, let’s talk about the ways I plan to style these dresses for the remainder of the summer season.
1. Sunrise Midi Dress | 2. Clutch | 3. Earrings | 4. Heels
For a Wedding
First things first, can we talk about how the midi-length (and honestly, even the short one!) is the perfect wedding guest dress? Especially for a summer garden wedding! I actually just wore this dress this weekend for a brunch wedding and it was perfect for the season, and the occasion.
1. Crossbody Bag | 2. Sunrise Mini Dress | 3. Espadrille Wedges | 4. Ring
For a First Date
If you’re find yourself struggling to find the perfect first date outfit, look no further than the mini sunrise dress! I mean, really, can you go wrong with a cute & simple dress for a first date? I don’t think so. The best part is this dress also comes in black so you could rock a little black dress moment too!
1. Sunrise Midi Dress | 2. Sunglasses | 3. Phone Holder | 4. Necklace | 5. Sandals
For Brunch with the Girls
Like I mentioned previously, I just wore this dress for a Sunday-brunch wedding and it was perfect! If I was going to wear this dress for a brunch with some girlfriends, I’d swap out my heels for some cute (but comfortable) flats and lightly accessorize for the perfect Sunday brunch look.
1. Cropped Denim Jacket | 2. Sunrise Mini Dress | 3. Sneakers | 4. Crossbody Bag
For Day-to-Day
Lastly, who doesn’t love rocking a dress during the summer months, especially in the heat of the July & August months when you just want to be as comfortable and the least sweaty that you can possibly be?! I’d totally wear this dress with a pair of white sneakers to make it a bit more casual for day-to-day!
I hope this blog gave you some new ways to wear your midi and/or mini sunrise dress from Smash + Tess before the summer comes to an end! Which look is your favourite? Mine is probably the wedding guest & day-to-day looks! Let me know which is your favourite in the comments below & how you’re wearing your dresses this summer.
