Unboxing the Winter 2022 Jilly Box
It’s that time again, believe it or not. I say this every time without fail, but I always feels like I blink and there’s another Jilly Box shipping notification. I was thinking about this today, and I realized this is the fourth winter Jilly Box they’ve created (and third I’ve received), it’s hard to believe how weirdly fast the last few years have gone. But you’re not here to read about my thoughts on time and how quickly it goes, let’s get into unboxing the winter 2022 box!
Mint Body Lotion

First things first, the mint body lotion from Bāsd Body Care. If there is one scent that I’m just obsessed with during the holiday season, it’s anything mint/peppermint (followed closely by the smell of a Christmas tree). I’m super excited that this is a nice big tub of lotion that I will definitely be keeping in my bed side table for nightly use! However, if you’ve never used a mint lotion before, be warned — some people experience a warming feeling, others experience a cooling (and a bit of both sometimes too); I am the latter. It makes me have a chill like no other, so keep this in mind if you’re going to use it post-shower in the winter months!
Silver String Lights

Nothing says holiday-season-cozy-night-in quite like tons of string lights everywhere around my home, at least in my opinion, so I was quite excited to open up the box and see a box of string lights in there. I instantly added them to a light-less tree that I picked up at Homesense this year to add a little more of a cozy holiday feeling to the tree. It now sits in our kitchen and just makes it feel so warm in there!
Complete Nourishing Shine Drops

As you can probably imagine, I was over the moon when I saw that a product from JVN Hair made it into this box! Gold Faux Leather Clutch

The first thing I saw when I opened the box was a gorgeous gold faux leather folded clutch from Fawn Design. Funny enough, my first thought was “wow, this reminds me so much of the gold sequin one she created during her Etsy Christmas collaboration back in 2018” because they really are quite similar (and I have that clutch)! What I love about this one though is it’s a bit more functional for year-round use. The sequins are very holiday-season to me, and this one allows for more general use, and additionally, feels a bit more structured than the sequin one.
Mini Heart Diamond Ring
Paris Jewellers
The one item that we all knew about was this gorgeous dainty ring from Paris Jewellers as we needed to select our ring size when we got our box. I love that this is the first piece of fine jewelry in the box and even has a real diamond in it. It’s quite dainty and delicate which I love, but I will definitely have to be careful with it. Since we had a choice between white and yellow gold, I chose yellow and I plan to wear it daily!
Set of 2 Lipsticks

Now, I must admit with this one, as absolutely gorgeous as these lipsticks are, I only see myself using one — the more nude colour. The other lipstick included in this set of two is more of a bright coral pink and very much not in my preferred colours (I blame my red hair). But, I’m happy to keep the nude colour and gift the other to a friend or family member that would actually get some use out of it.
Set of 2 Coupe Glasses

I think this item is the one that I am the most excited about, and it’s the set of 2 coupe glasses from The Cross Decor & Design. Not only have I loved everything from The Cross since I was introduced to it through following Jillian, but there’s just something so classy and cute about coupe glasses. In fact, I do have a bit of a collection… I can’t wait to sip some holiday cocktails out of these beauties this winter!
C E Peptides Serum
Vivier Skin
Normally, I don’t get too excited for the skincare/beauty items in the box, mostly because I have super sensitive skin that’s very picky and breaks out easily, but I’m super excited to give this C E Peptides Serum from Vivier Skin a try, especially given that this little bottle is valued at nearly $200! I’ll have to report back and update this blog once I’ve given it a real shot, long-term and let you know if I see any changes.
Add-On: White Holiday Stars, Set of 4
Crawford Creek Designs
This season, there were a few add-on options, but I only went with one — the set of 4 holiday star ornaments! My mom and I are actually splitting these, two for me & two for her. I used mine to add a little rustic look to our living room and bedroom by placing it on our TV units in each of these rooms rather than on the tree. One of these stars was included in the very first Jilly Box in 2019, and since I didn’t get that box, I decided to treat myself to this add-on!
Wow, it’s crazy to think that the holidays are here! I love this time of the year so much, and after it ends, I always think “ugh, another full year before I get to enjoy this again…” but then I blink and it’s back again! This winter box I’ve gotta say is a really good one, and the value of this box is the highest yet, I truly feel grateful to be a subscriber. I can’t wait to put all of these items to use over the holiday season & throughout the entirety of winter, but I’ll be back again before you know it to unboxing the spring 2023 box with all of you!
